www.buymeacoffee.com/Barlates Welcome to the EXPRESS MAT SERIES, a series of time efficient workouts that will sculpt long, lean muscles! These workouts are designed to be mix and matched depending on your schedule. No straight reps here! You will perform unique combinations of various exercises with different rep patterns to keep things interesting. Each muscle group will be well and truly burned out. Just add ankle weights or a resistance loop to make the workouts even tougher!
Flatten your tummy and trim your obliques with some long lever, lower belly raise combinations and reverse crunch variations. You will use different pyramid style rep patterns to keep your muscles and mind engaged. This workout will target your lower belly as well as your obliques.
Fitness level: Intermediate

Your videos really helped me get my body back after having a son in 2017. He was a very needy baby, and actually got kicked out and banned from the daycare at my gym. It was a dark time for me. I'm so thankful I had your videos, and still do them. No need for a gym anymore. I do your videos with my friends over zoom almost every night. Thanks for what you do, and much love from Canada.

This ab routine is TOUGH but highly effective! I try adding ankle weights but have to take them off part of the way through. This routine WORKS!

I just did this workout. The most effective lower ab workout I've done! Plus I love your bright blue tights

Day 1 - Was little hard,poking is hardest for me.. Let's make it easier by doing daily.. 😊 hoping to get better version myself Day 2 - could not able to do as my health is not well Day 3 - was hard as I thought,learnt that even laughing,coughing is painful after abs day 😅😅 But it's worth it..💯

Good morning Linda! I just did this workout at 5:15am! I was so happy to do this workout as I didn't need to put bodyweight on my left arm (that still has a bit of soreness / pain that is healing)! ABSOLUTELY BRUTAL! Especially the last 2 sections! I had to drop my legs a few times! Thank you so so much! Have a great day! :-)

Yes, this one is tough with all the long lever moves, the hip flexors feel it too. 😊

I'm probably buying a mini trampoline soon because it's supposed to be great cardio but not too hard on the joints. I heard you mention creating a workout/s with one. Looking forward to that one! Thanks for all of your other amazing workouts.

you can do any of my mat workouts during period, but just steer clear of abdominal workouts 😊

Hello! I dont feel my abs working as much as my lower back is killing me. I tried lifting my shoulders off the mat like you suggested but every time I do yoga or pilates I dont get as much ab burning as much back. Any suggestions?

maybe try putting a small folded towel or cushion under your back to help support it more. You might also need to do lower back strengthening exercises.

Ay, no. Went to see a doctor today and he said I cannot do any kind of sport for a month (avoid walking as well), after that my left foot should be ok, because it's healing. Miss your workouts tremendously!

I'll do it anyway although he said not to, but I think the doctor didn't understand the kind of workout I do (I guess he thought of yoga instead). If I notice any pain I'll stop but I need to try. I must feel active again!

I Find the pyramid is hard on joints and trying to concentrate on the right position, does not make the exercise fun! ☹️.

Burning is the best feeling! It means your muscles are being used and you are changing your body. If you want less burn then bend your knees a bit 😊

@@MarySluvycureveloria It will just take time. Once your hip flexors get stronger you will feel your belly more :)

you probably have tight hamstrings. Maybe a bit more stretching on a regular basis 😀
