This is a Level 4 Beginner / Intermediate Reformer 20 minute Pilates workout which focuses on legs, arms and abs. This Pilates workout will leave you feeling strong, aligned, lengthened and connected to your core.
Nell Hoess has been practicing and teaching these Pilates programmes for over 15 years. They are a sure way to steadily progress through the Pilates repertoire.

The prancing move and the one you did before it has really helped my plantar fascia. I have been troubled with this painful condition for so many years, my foot Doc has administered many cortisone shots for some relief. It's truly a miracle!!! I've only been doing reformer pilates for 4 months! Thank you Nell for your inspiring reformer pilates workouts!

Thanks Nell! This level 4 was a good follow-up workout for me today after performing your level 3 yesterday. I like your clear instructions & explanation of making/checking body connections. Question: is there a modification for those with bold leggedness (I find it impossible to match up my left leg/heels, knees etc. to my right leg parts as you describe).

You are welcome Carla! Yes it’s good to have a level up for the days you feel stronger and want a challenge. The days you don’t have the energy, you can do the lower levels and still get a workout in but that honours where you are at for that particular day. Well done. Interesting question: do you have a leg length discrepancy? It’s hard for me to give you advice because I can’t see what’s going on. A Physiotherapist would be able to assess you and give you more accurate advice.

@@NellHoess Thank you for your reply Nell. You are astute to bring up a leg length discrepancy. Mine is ever-so slight yet it affects me at times. My chiropractor helps me with it but I have t seen him since the pandemic hit. I have a typo on my original question. I meant bowleggedness: "A condition in which the knees stay apart even when standing with feet and ankles together, also known as bowlegs." I will keep trying to make connections while doing the reformer workouts, to the best of my physiological variation. 😉
