This is a Level 3 Beginner / Intermediate Reformer 30 minute Pilates workout which focuses on legs, arms and abs. This Pilates workout will leave you feeling strong, aligned, lengthened and connected to your core.
Nell Hoess has been practicing and teaching these Pilates programmes for over 15 years. They are a sure way to steadily progress through the Pilates repertoire.

I wish I'd found your videos in lockdown last year! (Victorian). Have just done this and your calm style is the *only* way reformer should be taught (but rarely is). Thanks for helping me get my reformer mojo back!

Hello Nell i LOVE this workout! I got my reformer last January and has been an about game changer for me in my forties.. I discovered this video about 4 month into my journey and i do it regularly because I just love it, please can you recommend another workout for me pls? However one without any equipment as I don't have as yet👍🏼💖

Thankful for your detailed, adaptable facilitation with reminders of breath work throughout the workout. I’ve moved from beginner level 1 to 2 and this being first level 3 following your instruction.

Thank you for your video. I am 67 years old with a really bad back. I purchased a balaced body reformer. I feel like I have a reformer with no knowledge how to use. I am trying so hard to take advange of the reformer. Your video gave me some hope. Can you suggest any tips

Hello Valerie. I would recommend you get a pilates teacher into your home to take you through some exercises and for you to learn to use the equipment. On my website I have 14 workouts for Level 1 & 2 that you also may find beneficial www.nellh.tv But I would strongly recommend getting a qualified teacher to your home.

Can you explain what it means by one and half springs? One I have has from left to right: red, yellow, red, blue, red.

1 spring = strong 1/2 spring = medium 1/4 spring = light Therefore 1 and a half springs = 1 strong and 1 medium. Hope that helps

Great class! Thank you. One question is I feel tightness, almost pain, on my right groan whenever I try to lift a ball in between ankles? Am I suppose to stop doing it or keep doing it? It is odd that I feel it only one side. It will be great if you could explain some causes.

Thank you. Its hard for me to give you feedback when I haven't seen you moving on the machine to assess your alignment and recruitment patterns. Feet in Straps work targets the inside thigh muscles and can reveal muscle imbalances. It may be that the muscle you are feeling is wek and therefore working hard in this exercise you are referring to. Listen to your body and try and feel if it feels like a weakness. If its too painful then defiantly get rid of the ball until you are stronger.

What does 2sp mean?

2 springs (so 2 strong springs) 1sp = 1 strong spring. 1/2 sp = a medium spring (half a strong one) and 1/4sp = the lightest spring. I hope that helps.
