Hi Andrea, thank you for a wonderful insightful description and demonstration of this excercise... I really like the way you express joy at achieving a goal... As you call it, the money moment...

Thanks Mark :) Yes, I like to make a point of knowing which moments in the exercise are the most important - for help in prioritizing for teaching others as well. It's hard to get it all working perfectly, but each workout, we try again. Yes, I call it the 'money note' as in when you hear a singer perform in their very best range. Those are the notes that we are the most interested in hearing LOL. And always in Pilates - we must express joy - it is super helpful! Thanks so much for watching and sharing your thoughts here with us.

Hi there - see what you think - put your chair on the most supportive spring setting - in my case I would put 2 springs on the top. Find the round position for your Elephant exercise and try to keep it as you do the exercise. Once you can feel how the pedal lifts, use my tips in the video to work the exercise and gradually lessen the spring as you get stronger. Work the similar position exercises in the rest of the Pilates system: the roll up, spine stretch, rolling back on the Cadillac, the Push thru, the Elephant, rolling like a ball, etc... persevere! Good luck to you :)
