I really liked this type of vlog. It was like a nice chat with a pal and also motivated me to get on the mat this afternoon. I primarily do classical but will sprinkle in contemporary sessions. I was so psyched to see you’re in your Classical era! You’ve given us so much over the years and I’m so thank for that. Maybe you can just pivot to classical videos (this is a selfish request, you’d be my one stop shop for classical and contemporary classes. 😂)

There’s lots of dual certified teachers. It can be hard to mix them while you’re knee deep in your training journey, especially if your main hours a week are strictly one or the other, but you might come to a point in your career where you’re in control of what you’re teaching and can pull from your vast contemporary and classical toolbox. Right now is your classical era though, and that’s ok. I do like this format, though I feel like it would be best spontaneously, and not regularly. I personally wouldn’t mind more as I look equally at what you’re doing from a teacher observation standpoint. As for me, I finished reformer 3 today. Woof! It’s a killer with the advanced level exercises. Lastly, I am happy to hear that your anxiety is getting supported. Mental health is so important. I always suspected you were hypermobile even if you never really mentioned it. Anxiety and depression are common with hypermobility disorders, and a high level of neurodivergence occurs as well. What can suck is the adhd to anxiety to adhd loop that happens in the brain. Anyway, much love and support to you always. I’m going to get in my pajamas and crash like a rock falling off a cliff. Lol

Since I crave results now (weight loss, mobility, posture, core) I really want some good classical. You can handle it. You are awesome and not annoying. Some online Pilates on KZbin are-the size 2 perfect girl with prefect hair and workout clothes with their cappuccinos. I just need results with someone who is competent and trained & certified. You are! Thank you.

I have an old firm wave step which is curved and when flipped, the other curved side is used for stretching. As I am short (5"0") I thought I could modify some spine corrector movements. The spine corrector you have is cool, but I am so short, it might be deadly. Arthritis in hips and spine needs work.

You could definitely modify with it - the spine corrector is definitely for taller people - but the point is to just give you a little bit of elevation, so if you have that curved edge you can do pretty much all the same stuff with some exceptions!

id say just rotate from Classical Pilates and contemporary pilates both mat and reformer. Throw in vlogs and Pilates tips and tricks and ur golden!

I have done both styles and see a reason for both. We follow YOU and YOUR cueing. Should you decide to pivot your practice online, I will see you there (please keep up the contemporary stuff tho because its so great) Congrats in advance because I know you will absolutely get the MI Level 1 certification! I loved this Vlog.

@@JustSheilzI’ll never take any old classes down (unless they need to be for quality reasons, or if I completely forgot an exercise on one side 🙃) it’ll just be a pivot of future classes
