Yeah I was waiting for this to play out like a crime of passion, eg. Chris Watts, where they call BS and say that the "passion" or fit of anger could not have lasted that long, as in for the length of time it took the premeditation and preparation. I guess the amount of time the diminished capability for adjustment disorder could last longer?

The shocking stupidity of the jury makes me question the validity of the jury system if people can be so gullible and ignorant that they allow cold-blooded murderers to escape justice. And why the hell is he only serving HALF of the 24-year sentence? So it's a pretend-24 year sentence? This case is especially horrifying and heartbreaking due to the lack of justice. SMDH.

I've had this idea for a while that the way to make jury trials more fair and objective is that the defendant and victim are never seen, you don't know their race, what they look like, their name, etc. Its just person A, witness B, etc. Voices are AI for testimony. Theoretical concept, but it would eliminate so much human bias.

For the benefit of those who may not be familiar with the English legal system, the concept of pre-meditation does not automatically exclude a defence of diminished responsibility. To take an extreme example, if a person has a mental condition that causes them to believe a person is a werewolf, buying silver bullets would not necessarily negate the defence. As the UK Supreme Court said in the lead case of R v Golds: "If the facts of the case give rise to it, [the judge] needs to warn the jury that brutal killings may be the product of disordered minds and that planning, whilst it may be relevant to selfcontrol, may well be consistent with disordered thinking." I think the jury got the decision wrong here, but the principle isn't incorrect as a matter of law.

Listen to your family and friends when they tell you this person is not for you. How many lives would be spared if people simple took the advice of love ones.😢

My advice to friends... introduce the person to several of your friends and listen to them.

It's criminal...how can the jury selection be so naive for such heinous offenses...they were fresh out of college or what!!

I love your summary of this case 😂 the whole video is great, as always. I always feel happier watching your videos... Even though alot are about gruesome subjects. Im beyond appalled though that a jury could find him not guilty. Everyone who murders claims they had a "reason" whether they were angry, jealous, killing to escape responsibility from something they did to the victim or hid from the victim etc... And to not be held responsible just by claiming he was treated poorly as his "reason", isn't good enough. It wasn't in the heat of the moment, it was clearly premeditated. Not good that he will be released. Hopefully the next woman he dates finds out quickly that she needs to run from him... And hide. ❤️

As a pilot myself I find this disgusting. I cannot imagine being wowed by a killer. Pilot or whatever credentials or skills they may possess. (satire. How do you know if a pilot is in the same room as you? Don't worry, a pilot will tell you they are there..)

UK jurors are by and large easily misled and rather feeble-minded, more interested in watching Coronation Street on the telly, than trying to understand the complexities of a legal case.

Disgusting!! Reminds me of my ex, he managed to get physical custody of my kids. 6 years later when I was ordered to stop child support payments, he simply told me he was leaving the state, and if I wanted the kids , I could have them. He never gave me a cent for support while I had my kids, but he sure controlled every move I made until the youngest turned 18. Pig!
