From the sound of it, an absolutely text book correct handling of the situation by all involved. And the pilot is probably correct in surmising that the indication was caused by a bleed air leak inside the engine cowling. Modern engine fire detector systems are almost devoid of the false-alarm problems of the earlier "fire wire" systems.

Well done by both pilot and Departure. Clear and concise communication. The Controller was also looking ahead and gave additional information. The fact that he also used the more casual "yeah" is something I liked as well, tho I understand views on that can differ (it alone can be read as somewhat dismissive and a lack of attention, but in this context, I would not support this interpretation)

Do a video on BA192. They had some sort of issue yesterday as they departed DFW. The aircraft is still on the ground today.
