Pinball Dreams - An abandoned Commodore 64 conversion

Pinball Dreams almost saw a stunning conversion to the #Commodore64 , but it seems was abandoned many moons ago now. It is hoped that someone will pick up the project and resume it one day. Thankfully some demos do exist.

A shame it's abandoned, really. Hopefully someone will pick it up, but then again, the C64 library is full of nice previews, and I found myself not getting excited about any new ones coming out anymore. Well, that being said: This *is* a nice one. Cheers!

There have been rumblings that the code had been picked up, but this was quite a while ago and I haven't heard anything since. Hopefully there are still plans to finish.

Nice as the music is, I could imagine it being even nicer. In particular the triangle ping could be more ...triangly? (I have this feeling I have heard SIDs doing something like that already. That's coming from a wobly mind.)

Such a shame this never appeared. Looks and appears to play very well. Incidentally the music playing over the "21st Century Entertainment" logo is "I Can Dream About You" by Dan Hartman. Was this a fan project, or something meant for retail? The Amstrad port someone did was phenomenal.

It was a fan project started around 15 years ago. My late friend Jason Kelk did one of the boards. I suspect the plan would have been to release for free to avoid any legal issues.

@@GamesThatWerent Ah, sorry to hear about your friend. If it's a DICE title, would EA own it now? They're normally pretty cool with fan projects.
