Great video Scott! I had psoriasis for the last 12years and have been using a prescribed steroid cream that probably is not good for me for the last 10 years. started using beard products oil, balm, and pine tar soap starting last December. My hands seemed to be getting a lot better so a month ago I stopped the steroid cream all together and the psoriasis seems to be completely gone. I might be weird but I like the smell of the pine tar soap.

I recently tried the Dr.Squatch Pine Tar soap and other than it being pricey I liked it. I also don't have a beard. I think it smells good and I like the bits of pine or whatever that is in it. You get a enjoyable scratch on the skin when you wash with it. I will definitely have to try some of these other brands especially if they are more affordable.
@tiahio83152 жыл бұрын
Just and FYI. Theirs doesn't have pine tar in it. It's actually made with Activated Charcoal and Pine extract for the smell. Best to find a soap made with real Pine Tar and if you can find one that is 20% pine tar, that is best.

I love your video Scott i am very happy to hear and see everyone starting to use the Pine Tar Soap, first of all let me say im a candle and soap maker. I to make Pine tar soap as well here in Tennesseee" Carson Lane candles'. i have herd so many great comments on how Pine Tar soap has helped individuals over the years with skin issues. I have regular customers that purchase it from me they love it it really is a amazing soap.

I make pine tar soap ... the difference in color is because some formulate the pine tar as part of the recipe and others do it as an additive. The darker ones use it as part of the recipe; lighter is an additive. Either way, it's a great benefit to the skin!

Great review, Scott! I totally forgot that Beard Octane has a pine tar soap, and that's bad ass that Chesapeake is coming out with some. Like a lotta people in here, I've only ever used the Grandpa's Pine Tar soap after just seeing a TON of positive reviews. Admittedly the smell was an issue for me at first, but strangely enough I love it now; it almost reminds me of walking into a Texas BBQ place we have here. Nevertheless, I'm curious to see how some of these you've mentioned stack up against the "gold standard" in terms of performance, benefits, and scents. Keep up the great work man!

I bought some Dr. Squatch Pine Tar and I don't have a beard... but if you want to know what it really smells like, imagine one of those yellow roll around mop buckets full of dirty water that's been used to clean a dirty floor and Pine Sol is the detergent used to cut the dirt.. now take the mop and take a good whiff of it.. that's what the Pine Tar soap smells like.

Hey I'm new to all natural soap. I never thought about the soap that I used for so long, and wished that I had noticed a long time ago that it was bad and causing problems. I have very dry and itchy skin, probably because I used Irish Spring and Dandruff for so long and went a whole year taking a shower every day, which was a huge mistake! What kind of soap or soaps would be good for someone with very dry skin for hair and skin? The Pine Tar sounds nice, but I have a sensitive sense of smell, and from what I've seen, the scent is strong, so I don't think I could handle it. My nose burns up and reddens with certain strong scents, like candles and purfumes. Also who's tried Dr Squatch's soap? How does it compare to other all natural soaps? There's so many choices, and I have no idea which one to try! This soap is expensive, so I'd rather not spend a bunch of money to try them all out if possible.
@pixelblitz23095 жыл бұрын
XenoSmasher if your looking for a mild scent, try out bay rum. a lot of dr. squatch's stuff uses pretty high quality stuff too, don't know about comparisons tho lol
@GuardianAngelEatos5 жыл бұрын
@@pixelblitz2309 Thank you. Have you personally tried Dr. Squatch's Bay Rum? It says it has medium strength, and the only one that I saw that had mild strength was Goats Milk, but from what I've heard about the scent of it, it sounds like something that I would dislike. By don't know about comparisions, do you mean comparisons for each of Dr. Squatch's bars of soap, or his and other brands of all natural soap? I needed to get some of this stuff as soon as possible, so last night I just went an soapscribed for six bars and chose six different ones. Bay Rum was one of them.
@pixelblitz23095 жыл бұрын
XenoSmasher i've personally used bay rum and it has a slightly above faint smell, and smells pretty good too. and deep sea goats milk has a funky smell. also by don't know about comparisons i meant i don't know anything about other soap bars to compare.
@GuardianAngelEatos5 жыл бұрын
@@pixelblitz2309 Okay, well hopefully the Bay Rum won't be too much for me. I do have a strong sense of smell, so I smell things more than most people. The Bay Rum does sound nice. I hope I like it. I hope I like the Peppermint one especially. I love peppermint, or any kind of mint for that matter! I still don't understand what you mean by that. Other soap bars meaning other brands of soap bars, or other scented bars? I'm not sure how to phrase that better.
