@@FinalBoys1982 Oh I disagree....and this isn't really Pink Floyd but a tribute band...Gilmour's version of "Pink Floyd" is to play all of the easy hits so the "fans" can all go "ahh"...he is the greatest hits guy. Waters plays a lot of those too but he adds a lot more deeper cuts and in general weaves a more interesting show. Lately he's been more angry and political for me. The last time I saw him was on his last set of Wall shows. I also saw David's tribute band on the tours in the early days. With some people I get mean and remind them that David is technically not an original member but I won't get into it here.....:)

Old doesn't necessarily mean you're ready to be put out to pasture. Grow a long white beard. Kids will see you and make you smile... Seriously. Earlier tonight I went to go somewhere and when I got outside there was a family parked near me, and their five year old daughter saw me and started waving at me. I asked her Mother "Does she know about Santa Claus?" She said yes. As I started to get in my car I told her that I used to live in Yellowstone National Park, and there is a tradition there that is supposedly based on a blizzard that came through the park on August 25th, somewhere around 1930 or so. Nobody knows exactly what year it was or if there even any truth to it at all. But supposedly the blizzard shut down the park and all the hotel guests in the park were stranded. A park employee suggested having a Christmas party, and thus the Christmas in August tradition was started. And today is August 25th, so Merry Christmas!

For me there is no doubt October 25 and 26 of 1987 were the pinnacle of live music for me.... Pink Floyd were so crisp and and tight, I have never before or since seen and heard anything like it.... Astounding quality... I never saw them with Waters but I didn't miss him one bit... They played little music with his vocal lines in them.... And they did a great job of replacing his vocal in comfortably numb with the a several part harmony... The chorus is the breakout vocal of that song ... So I just didn't miss him.... I saw the show in 89 and 94 at Carter Finley... But simply seeing that incarnation of the band for the first time in 87 was so stunning , it just could quite measure up on the stadium tours... Being outdoors didn't really help either..... Two nights I could never forget in my rock and roll history....

The one of them who is still my best friend, got lost in the stadium but since he had the VIP Area Pass, he went to there to enjoy the show. And there he met with my mother and my sister. He took an ecstasy. Those from the late 80's. And he had to enjoy the show in E, totally high with my mother and my sister beside him asking him stuff all the time... Next day they both told me: He's a bit of a weirdo, isn't him? KKKKK. Unforgettable for me, I saw it clean, so I remember every detail.. And blurry for my friend, who doesn't remember anything... Luckily we can enjoy it again on video, Thank you for such a great job.

Had this album on both cassette & cd back when, loved it! If it wasn't for at least one add during each song, this would've been the perfect experience.

The best cassette album I could have purchased on a 90's gr12 trip to Italy/Greece. The benefits of getting a sunburn at the cottage, doing a roadbike timetrial while headed home, hit by someone "blinded by the sun", minimal injuries, and enough insurance money to get physio, a new bike, and vacation.

We saw them in Chicago on May 22 1988. I was 7 months pregnant with #3. We were seated next too the stage. My baby let me know, she could hear it! I kept thinking, I better not go into labor here! We bought the tickets before I was even pregnant. What a show they put on. We try too go, every time they in town.

I was TEN in 1988. Way too young to know or appreciate Pink Floyd. But now here I am in the future with a concert from my youth being blast from space onto a video screen made of liquid crystal in higher definition than it would have been if you were there. We don't need no gatdam flying cars.

As a62 yr-old internal combustion fanatic (albeit, a very tame one and easing my guilty conscience by 'taking steps' lol), I couldn't agree more. We need to rethink how we use this tech (that I hate at times BTW) to alter our expectations about the way we lead our lives, inc. always moving ourselves around in our personal cars. I feel the same about travel generally. If we have to sacrifice travelling to far-away places, but we can communicate and 'almost' experience their lives and the place they live, because we ALL (or almost for those that want it) have good enough tech, well 'I'll take that'. And you're right re music as well, because for me, as much as I hate the tech, I've discovered more music and from different cultures, times, and all kinds of genres, inc. genre-less and played through a high-end hi-fi, it is just effing amazing! I'm spoilt

I am melting and want to die a little bit. Like we did back when we did Orange Sunshine and we where deep into the Tibetan Book and the Doors of Perception = Big Huxley fans and a lot of time we did let the Ego fly and embraced the white light. Danke from Germany. Now I am old but that part will go on. Danke for the upload. In the top 10!
