used that exact buzzbomb hoochie setup today. pinks jumping everywhere. for 5 hours not even a single nibble

Dang it, wonder if they are in staging up and getting off the bite. We came across a massive school on the surface with hundreds of fish but they would just come and look at the gear casted but not commit. We saw a few in the batch jumping in almost full hump mode as well.

Just spend 6-6.5 hours out on tacoma Theas park area. Lots of jumps and people limiting out. Not a single bite for me unfortunately.

You will get them! I’ve found at times when the fishing is like that either a small color change pink to white or lure size can make all the difference in bites. Thanks for your insight and support!

Great question, Not at all! While pink is probably the most popular color choice, I have found that white, and combinations of the two colors can be very effective. Silvers, greens, orange and metallics can all work. Thanks for the question and for watching!

One of the best fishery here Seattle. I remember limit used to be like four to six pink salmon. Crossing fingers it will get that good again. 😃

Beautiful pink, totally different condition than those I saw in cannery days in Alaska, those tended to be in bad shape but they canned them all.

I was down in the Seattle area. Yes they are definitely down by Shilshole. You can trolling for them in deeper water or catch to moving schools. Lots of fun

Thank you for watching and the support! Only way to learn is to go out catching! Most of the time it’s pretty easy to tell the difference but what has always helped me is the pinks have the huge oval spots on their tail

They are off all the beaches right now from area 10 to 9. Just have to find the tide and head out. This was right at a super low too and saw a bunch around

So annoying lol, everyone talks about how easy they are to get from shore but for whatever reason I've had zero luck in two humpy seasons. Was out this weekend and the school would hit the shore, people would start catching down the line, and every time it ended before it got down to where I was. Get them out of the river just fine, but salt is completely the opposite.

How fast are you reeling? If youre going too slow it might be too low. Especially if you find yourself hooking bullhead instead.

@@Dc5Juni0r I finally got on them last week. Just had to get there early enough to get a decent spot, missed a ton but still got my limit in a couple hours. Wish there were some better spots up north though.
