Just got the sc6000’s and they fixed the “lag” in the touchscreen. Everything was immediate and fully responsive completely satisfied with my purchase because of how much power is held inside the decks. Can’t wait to see how much more they’re going to update the firmware inside the media players in the future. Highly recommend switching over.

You know what the kicker is: I've had multiple instances of cdj2000's just crashing because they couldn't handle my 2500 song library on my 32GB usb. I'm done with Pioneer. I have both however, the SC6000 wins hands-down. I prefer the CUE/PLAY buttons on the CDJ and that's it. Overall implementation on the SC6000, especially with the latest firmware, is superior. There are some minor UI things that I don't like on the SC6000 but once you figure them out, no worries. Denon has made huge advancements with the SC6000 and Pioneer better get on the ball. Keep your money and go for the Denon. BTW, I've been a Pioneer fanboy and owned everything from the CDJ-1000s to the CDJ-3000s. The 3000 may be my last Pioneer device...... I must admit, Pioneer mixers are the best in the business. I'm still using my DJM-2000nexus mixer and may never give it up.

I think the nail in the coffin against Pioneer is that Denon makes it so easy for a DJ to show up with a usb, even if he is coming from a Rekorbox background he will be welcomed on the Denon. That is Denon's smoking gun! Also the in player analyzation.. Game Changer!

Great comparison. But the SC-5000’s do everything the SC-6000’s due with the exception of the SSD slot and the massive 10” screen. 2 years in and very very happy with the SC-5000 without a single issue.

What I've been seeing a lot, especially here, is that most clubs have upgraded their CDJ3000s to the SC6000s and the response has been fantastic. Personally i don't think Pioneer is doing any good to the DJ and Club culture anymore, in my opinion they've just become the Apple of Dj'ing. I really hope this monopoly will be over soon, for the best ! There is absolutely zero lag in the SC6000M touchscreens now (but I have to add working from usb is far slower than SD and SSD blows them both out the water, instantly bringing everything up, when searching for tracks which load as the letters are typed. Next time try it with a SSD& you will be shocked with the difference), great comparison video though . Now you can see both decks on the same players’ touchscreen flexible beatgrids for tracks that change bpm or drift badly (not used flexible yet) Get in the mix (uk DJ store) made a comparison video and timed everything & the SC6000 were faster in every department even redoing tests that pioneer heavily failed or lost & still the SC6000 won . So it was up about a week before Pioneer told them to take it down and they shit themselves & did it . Not the cleverest idea when you stock Pioneer but show their biggest rival giving their latest players the CDJ3000(s) a hell of a beating 🙏👍

I was a staunch Pioneer user for 4.5 years but no more after the way they left the XDJ-700's to die on the vine. Pretty similar. The SC6000 can play rekordbox files, which you can then transport to the clib situation with Pioneer DJ CDJs.

If you can play on CDJ's, then using the SC6000's will be no trouble, and vice-versa. Lexicon DJ will make it a lot easier to have your library data sent to other softwares like Rekordbox, Serato, etc.

Have both players. The SC6000 is more advanced with more features, no doubt. I still prefer the Pioneer personally. I find the layout and the overall feel of the device to be more intuitive and sturdy. I think, a few years down the road- the Pioneers will hold up much better.

It's difficult to get unbias reviews, most video reviews are clearly made by Pioneer users, they seem to ignore the superior quality from Denon, that thus video clearly shows, I can understand when the Pioneer users have been used to the layout abd being difficult for them to change over, if both of these players were priced according capabilities, the pricing would be reversed, but to me the Denon is far better value, has more features, I like the fact this review clearly shows the Denon is not just cheaper to buy, but has more going for it and with Denon listening to their customers and updating, seems a no brainer to me, Denon is the future Imo.

True, but the other truth is, if you can play on SC6000's, you can play on CDJ's. I used CDJ-3000's for the first time in August at DJX and did an hour set with no issues. The layouts are so similar. In the end, it comes down to the person on the decks, not the decks themselves.

It's a nice touch. I use it every event I do, whether it's club or mobile. Came in clutch a few months ago when a White Claw got spilled on one of my SC6000's. I was able to finish the night out flawlessly. I would've been assed out if I had CDJ's.

Relatively speaking, in terms of flagship grade standalone players... Yeah, they're pretty affordable. 6500 is over 50% more than 4200, that's a pretty significant difference. Also worth bearing in mind the prices of pioneer's lower end players, the SC6000 is just barely more expensive than the XDJ 1000 mk2, but it offers way more in terms of features (arguably more than the flagship CDJ 3000 too) Not sure what your point is mate. Yeah, pro grade DJ gear is expensive as fuck, if you can't afford or justify the price, go with a controller or an all in one.

If one SC6000 unit costs 1500€ (gives you 2 decks) and mixer costs 1200€ it gives you total cost 4200€ and you have 4 decks + mixer. If you go with Pioneer and you wanted the same setup it will cost you 4 x 2400€ and mixer for 1200€ you get total cost 10800€! That is more than twice cost over the denon, which makes the denon really affordable. And you also gets better features, so :D

Do not buy the Denon DJ SC6000. The touch screen kept freezing while in use. I just got new desks and changed them for another pair. The same problem. Updated software and the touch screen kept freezing. Great decks if all the features would work. Going back to pioneer CDJ 3000

For the vast majority of artists, this is still Pioneer. That’s why investing in a Denon setup doesn’t make economical sense for larger clubs.

No one cares that Denon has more features. The clubs and festivals care about PRODUCERS, and producers do their creative shit in the studio. When they turn up to a gig to DJ, they want familiar and reliable. Expecting all these DJs to adopt a totally new DJ setup when they turn up to clubs and festivals…. It will just never happen. CDJs will be the standard for at least the next 5-7 years where it matters, thats just how it is. CDJs are meant for the club, and Denon’s are meant for the pro-sumer in the bedroom and for house parties

The I would say those DJ's are not real DJ's, producers or not. Real DJ's adapt to any situation. And for the record, the large festivals & clubs constantly carry Pioneer only because Pioneer GIVES them the gear. Pioneer is the club standard because Pioneer pays a lot of money to call themselves the club standard, full stop.
