Pioneer pl-550 turntable , REAL WOOD VENEER!

I've have had my PL-550 for about 2 years now. I'm very much into vynyl and I was not prepared to settle for less..... Bought it in pristine spotless condition. It even had its original box, spare headshell and 45RPM adaptor!!! However , I only truly appreciated it's sound quality when I recently replaced the cartridge with an Ortofon 2m blue and it's so great to listen to. The base is punchy and clean. My setup comprises Linn Kaber speakers with naim cables, Yamaha A-S1100 Amplifier and Yamaha CDN500 Network Player

That's a breath taking turntable, beautiful job!

The light reflects a little orange peel in your final finish. You should maybe wet sand with 600 grit and then buffoff with some automotive compound. Then it would look totally fantastic.

The top coat has too many pin holes in the lacquer.

Royalbigness , it looks like that in the light, they are not fish eyes, it's the woods grain/texture.

Very Nice table. This table is fully manual, What happens in the end of the record? The arm stops in the end? The rotation stop?

lachrymatory there is no functions with the tonearm related to position on the record .

nice TT but is really a pain in the ass the lack of auto return of the tonearm when the record finishes
