Addendum: Ruger Mini-30 in Stainless Steel with 30 round magazines is a nice alternative to AK's, SKS, etc. Back in the 80's some Magazine Manufacturers made some 40 round magazines. Also back in the 80's-90's Plastic and Steel 10 round magazines for the Remington 742 which came with a 3 round magazine from the factory. Kind of wish I had bought it in 308, but I bought the 3006. As much as it pains me to see Tim in a bad light over this, there’s no way around it. I would disagree about the community being forgiving. Springfield armory is a good example of that. People still hold grudges, wont buy their product, and try to dissuade others from buying their product over something that happened many years ago. Right or wrong this grudge isn't going away.
