Is this a new streamlined workflow in a version update or did everyone else overcomplicate this process? Great tutorial! Would be cool to see this done from the hardware.
@FizzENT5 жыл бұрын
I hate to admit it, but i believe everyone else overcomplicated this process. I've watched lots of tutorials that were over 10 minutes just to go back and try what i thought i had learned and saw no results. So my goal with this was to create something really quick and easy to follow for those who are just getting started or even might need a refresher on how to sample in Maschine. I would love to have shown it on the hardware but i'm thinking everyone is using something different rather it be mk3 micro studio etc Thanks for watching !

Is Tempo Stretching done in audio format? I want to Tempo Stretching a 3-minute song ... can that be? thank you ..
@Sovereign_King2 жыл бұрын
Do you use the halftime vst? If im just going to be using Maschine software to create, would it still be useful to buy halftime if this tutorial explains how to time stretch and pitch bend directly in the Maschine software?
@FizzENT2 жыл бұрын
I do not use the halftime vst. I think it's unique in its own way. It would be a great addition to Maschine.
@iamnyron2 жыл бұрын
Is it different that I adjust pitch by just doing it as a sample that has the audio plugin ?
@FizzENT2 жыл бұрын
There are differences. I typically use the audio plugin when I have a perfect loop. I use the sampler to manually Chop the sample. It comes down to what you want to do with the sample
@revelashan4 жыл бұрын
Waddup Fizz. what about this scenario? I have a drum kit loaded and there's a melodic sound in there. I put that sound in keyboard mode and each pad all the way to the 16th plays at a faster tempo. How do I fix that? I want them all to be playing at the same tempo, different pitches. Thanks in advance!
@FizzENT4 жыл бұрын
Whats up ! Best solution for you case would be Serato Sample. If you are working inside of the Maschine i'd probably use the audio module, if you are working with a melodic loop of some sort, this will keep it in time as you are able to change the pitch without affecting its timing. Last resort would be copy and pasting each sample over the 16 pads. From there time-stretch according with he help of this video. Change the tune without changing the source bmp or new bpm. The only issue that i see with the option is that if you decide to later change the tempo of the session it might get a bit messy. Hope you explore these different options and let me know which one works best for you !
@revelashan4 жыл бұрын
@@FizzENT Ok Cool! Using Serato sample in that way is a hell of a workaround and would be an instant inspiration KILLER! Can you imagine snooping around and finding a melodic sound in an expansion that you want to use immediately? To then pull out Serato Sample? You'd have to know exactly what you want to do before you even get things set up in Serato Sample. Hopefully Maschine comes out with an update that allows us to use "their" keyboard mode with the samples in "their" expansions without the higher pitches being severely sped up. I don't know, I just think that should be a little simpler and it's not too much to ask!! Keep doing what you do Fizz! You're saving lives. 🦾

Thanks for the video, but I have tried to apply this method to Black Sea Kit and does not work with one shot samples apparently. Are you able to help on this specific case please?
@FizzENT4 жыл бұрын
It should work. I'd double check your setting and make sure you are under the right mode "sampler mode"
@deepseadiver81913 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the tutorial. Does Maschine REALLY not have a function where it can automatically lay sample on a keyboard with a range of pitches in "Keyboard Mode" to be played melodically (in example, chromatically) while maintaining the same length of the sample? I know in "Pads Mode" I could simply duplicate the pads and adjust pitch for each pad while maintaining the same timing/length of the clip, as per your tip, and this way create my own keyboard mode sort of, but doing so has its limitations (for example can't use scales, chords, etc). I know I could convert the Sampler into Audio Mode and pitch & speed can be independent there, but the mode is not the same as a keyboard mode and has its own limitations. REALLY this system can't do what apps such as Beatmaker, Koala do at a fraction of the price?? BTW, when duplicating pads, how can I make sure they are exact duplicates which copy not only the sample / instrument but also the origin's settings? Specifically in the context of my main question, when I duplicate the pads as a workaround for creating pitched and not stretched samples, the "stretch" settings don't follow the original pad, the Auto Detect setting keeps changing itself to "On" and the Source BPM is being detected every time a pad is duplicated, all this adding to an already cumbersome workflow. Thanks!
@FizzENT3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for tuning in ! In response to your first question, Maschine sample engine is not cable of that quite yet. Hopefully we will see that in the future, but for now the work-around you mention is the way to go. Next When duplicating pads, I normally use the duplicate button on the controller and sample locked into place. Duplicating makes an exact copy of the pad your are copying from. Are you using the latest version of Maschine?
@deepseadiver81913 жыл бұрын
@@FizzENT Yes, it does make an exact copy of the pad, but since in this case the purpose of it is to create a different pitch, as soon as you go to "Stretch Settings" in the sampler, instead of following whatever was set in the original pad sampler-settings-wise, the sampler guesses the source BPM again (even if in the original pad's sampler's you manually set it). That's what I meant by "copy all settings".
@FizzENT3 жыл бұрын
@@deepseadiver8191 Oh Okay, i see what you are referring too. That is how the software programmers programmed it; to bounce back to default. Although you select copy, Maschine registers it as a new sound, so it kicks back to default. I can see how this can be a tedious process when pitching samples. At that point i would use Serato Sample.
@deepseadiver81913 жыл бұрын
@@FizzENT Thank you. I’ll give it a try. I’m hearing that this can be done in Kontakt too. I wish it was more straightforward.
