Watching this December 19, 2024 and having a really hard week. Thank you to my friend for sending this to me. 💕💫🎁 thank you to my friend who first introduced me to the band in 2011. How time flies.

It cannot be overstated just how good this band is and how much I love them. They have their own distinct YLT sound regardless of song or album or era.

29 Years ago and about 30 seconds into “Barnaby, Hardly Working” and I wanted only more. Yo La Tengo is the example of how an amazing band produces pure Music, and yet stays local.

Listening to them and seeing them play you could easily forget how damn fucking hard it is to sound so good live.

Can't wait for Spring Tour! Really psyched to hear the new tunes.. This performance is a real treat, so thanks to all who helped put this together.. Yo La Tengo are truly the most under-rated band; such a distinctive & original back catalog.. And yes, _Painful_ has never recieved any of the due credit it deserves. I highly recommend everyone interested to catch 'em live in person. The way the trio switch between instruments during their set is really something to experience. Such a brilliant band.

I liked yo la tengo casually in high school (late 90s early 2000s). I picked up painful and didn't get it. it sat in my big ol CD case for a few years, when i needed ylt in my life i wanted to listen to "i can feel our hearts..."but a few years into adulthood after some tough times and heartbreak, I popped in Painful and experienced such extacy (no drugs involved). That first track alone...beautiful. It's now my fav ylt album

This was my first exposure to Yo La Tengo, and this album still remains to be my favourite. While other people will prefer their more acclaimed albums (I Can Hear the Heart, Electr-O-Pura, And Then Nothing etc) this album struck a chord with me in a way not many other albums have. We love you Yo La Tengo
@davidyohalem6292 жыл бұрын
They come as such a surprise that I think everyone loves their album of first exposure best. For me, it was Electro-Pura when it was hot off the presses. Recommended by a small CD shop in Madison, Wisconsin called the B-side. "You should really listen to this," said the knowledgeable dropout clerk. So I did.
@FERMUSICA6 жыл бұрын
I prefer this than the album, they are just great performers!!! The energy that they had in in this and the transitions between songs really make it something exceptional and amazing, it is also excellent to sleep to

Yo La Tengo have achieved mastery of their craft. Sounding the best they ever have, and showing that there is still room for experimentation and new sound in the finely worn niche that is their domain
