Omg...Jim said "hundreds and thousands!" I grew up calling 'sprinkles' "hundreds and thousands" because my family was stationed in Australia when I was born. So they called them that. And I just assumed that's what everyone called them. But people used to look at me funny when I said that instead of sprinkles. It was so awesome to catch that about the gingerbread men with hundreds and thousands. Love the podcast.

I believe Jim used to drink a lot when he lived in the uk, which explains his fond memories of the Dominoes Double Decadence because it was ONLY acceptable if you were drunk, hungover and/or stoned. The thought of eating one of those sober turns my stomach! 🤮 The idea of sandwiching two bases together with ranch dressing is something only an inebriated person would think is a good idea! Plus they would ALWAYS fall apart and leave you with a gooey semi-warm puddle of ranch and toppings at the end. Trust me, it was gross. He’s right about Pizza Express though. It’s pretty decent if there’s nothing better around but if you’re in London Pizza Pilgrims is hands down the best! Their ‘nduja pizza with a little extra salami is outrageous! 🔥🍕👌😋

NZ has Hell's Pizza, Been around for a couple of decades. It looks very similar to the Lucifers online pizza pics though, and when you google Lucifers it tells you it was opened in LA by a Kiwi so I'm guessing there is a link there.

I manage to get myself to Australia and New Zealand…..due to being tired, from all that rowing…..I accept the differences…easy enough, everyone was very encouraging. Just not right off the plane brother/mate…..no wonders everything’s great over here….you get absenth right off the plain….then go drive(as a first time driver overseas) coromandel penn. worst trip and yet best trip ever, perhaps there might have been a wrong turn or two. Got pulled over at one point for not hitting a “opossum”. Neither here nor there, but it was apparently here.

I used to LOVE The Upper Crust - Double Stuffed Pizza. It was a deep dish pizza with toppings, then a LOT MORE toppings, then a normal crust pizza (with toppings) on top to seal the pie.

I managed a busy pizzeria for 3 years in Canada. Boxing day was definitely the busiest day of the year. To be fair though we were so popular there were 3 days a year we would be pushed to capacity. Boxing day, Halloween, and Canada Day(July 1st). SuperBowl Sunday was big for wing sales but not as busy as you might think. I imagine if Buffalo made a decent run it would be crazy.

There's a restaurant called Via Napoli in Sydney. It does traditional Naples pizza, which has to abide to certain rules apparently. The wood fired oven broke. The owner got artisan/technicians in from Naples to fix it. That is dedication to Pizza!!

For all non franchise pizza places in the USA using a gas oven. Please pre cook all the vegetables seasoned, after making the dough let it rest for a hour and then make the portions, don't use a tray instead use single aluminum holders with a lit, let that raise then refrigerate. Make the dough in to pizza patty's a hour before putting it in to a oven if that is possible. Use real yeast some flower and sugar for fermentation. Salt (kills yeast) in the end. Use screens that look like insect screens not that shit with the big holes.

Imma try to pull a big-brain move here and post a comment of mine on this video which was originally from the WW2 vid in hopes that Jim wil somehow notice it and maybe have a little laugh. (Wonder how that’ll work out): I always found it mildly confusing when english speakers referred to “Das Dritte Reich” as “The Third Reich”, why translate only 2 of the 3 words? It’s meaning is “The Third Empire” and as far as I have learned it referred to the previous big mainland Europe empires: The Roman Empire and The Holy Roman Empire. (The latter of which had nothing to do with Rome or Romans and if I remember correctly was mostly germanic) Also another fun thing about not translating things, english speakers saying “The Führer”, which basically just means “leader”. They still have some führers, but these days it’s mostly chill guys like a “Bergführer” (Mountain Leader) which is a mountain guide. Also had a chuckle while typing this when I translated “Panzerfaust” for no reason at all and thought to myself that “Tank Fist” would be a hilarious title for a Porn where girthy lesbians punch each other in certain parts of their anatomy. But that might’ve only been funny to me because I’ve watched too many Jim Jefferies specials on repeat…
