POLAND/POLISH SNACKS: I do a surprise taste test - cakes, kvas, and more. inspired by SnackCrate.

I was inspired by Snack Crate, but as I believe shopping locally, in local shops which depend on local customers for survival, I had a friend buy snacks, drinks and chocolates from an unknown foreign supermarket and seal them in a box. I have visited Poland three times before and tried Polish snacks, but these were all new to me.

I think your friend did you an injustice. Polish Food is beautiful. Best Polish shop in Partick Glasgow.I used it all the time, great beer and spirits and the Deli is fantastic. 21 Hyndland St, Partick, Glasgow G11 5QE

Kwas is not for everyone. Except the kwas we have also another weird drink - jałowiec - which was also a substitute of coke in communism 😅 The most polish sweets are: ptasie mleczko, pieguski, prince polo, grześki, princessa, jeżyki, delicje; and snacks: kabanosy, krakersy, suchary, obwarzanki, paluszki.

I see 1st time covrige in Poland. Bananas are only from Slovakia, or Czechia. Kvass may be from Poland, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, or the Baltics. The best kvass is Rigas, or Lidsky.

Polonia. They have justt tolld me in Scotia political forum that 2nd lingo is polish. Neveer been there, but surprised by quaity of east euro food. In Russia excellent food, but ship had been loaded up in Bremen.

My local town has a large Polish population. After the Brexit vote in 2016, the New York Times newspaper sent a reporter to Scotland to speak to EU citizens about this result. They chose my town of Paisley because of it's large Polish population, and even interviewed people from my local Polish food shop - I recognised their faces... in the New York Times! Polish food is great, and Polish people even better. 👍

OMG! Chocolate with advocat is my favourite. And then with mint or orange. And you didn't really try Polish snacks. These are not very popular in Poland. When you come here try pierniki, prince polo, krówki, etc. The list is long.
