I bought the etha 2. Used it 2 times already and LOVE IT!! I have shot about 2000 rounds and has broken 2 paintballs only! My first gun the kaos azodin breaks 1 every 30 rounds😭

This is my kind of marker! I shot an Ion for years as a smartparts sponsored player in the NPPL, PSP, and AXBL(og). The Etek2 gives me the same vibes. if I didn't just buy a used RSX, this would be my next marker. I'm super excited to see people take advantage of the 3D printing aspect. I hope people get creative and offer their services to other players! Also, excellent review! You're honest and blunt and have a great on camera presence! keep up the great work! ps: I'm not a big fan of the material most modern headbands are made out of. The denim feel of OG headbands are the way to go imo, but I'm definitely interested in purchasing a t-shirt. Please consider making longsleeves for players to rock on the field! a nice big logo on the back would look killer.

My field got 5 to try out as rentals and I tried one and it was definitely nice, very ergonomic in my opinion, shot pretty smooth, not as smooth as my geo 3 but still very smooth. It felt kinda cheap but not horrible

hey dude, im having a hella hard time deciding between etha 2 or axe 2 - unless you have any other recommendations around that $400 mark? I held an etha 2 and mini gs (similar to axe 2 I think?) the other day (store didn't have an axe 2) and they both felt great. What are your thoughts?

In that price it really is between the Axe 2.0 and Etha 2. The Mini GS will feel similar, the Axe is just going to be a bit stretched out.

Milsim player here, did want to try out speedball for quite sometime now, was looking around and the etha 2 became my choice when I held the Gtek a guy i came across with in the field, and this video sealed the deal for me, didn’t buy a new one tho, bought a used one that came with a Rotor an and empire 48/4500 peanut. He said it was ergonomics if I recall correctly. As long as you don't want an OLED board or an aluminum frame, this thing is supposed to be just as good as the Axe 2.0, but cheaper. Go check out the Madman Etha 2 review. They seriously beat the crap out of it and it just keeps going.

Thanks! Both are great choices you really can't go wrong with either. To me the biggest difference is the Etek has the option of adding the OLED screen. If you want the OLED screen get the Etek if not the Etha 2

Nice vid man. How long is that barrel? Also have you tried a efficiency test on it?

It is a 14.5in barrel all the Planet Eclipse guns come with the same barrel length. I though about it but there are all ready efficiency tests of the Gtek and 160R and seeing as they have the same bolt they should all be nearly identical. Plus I don't want to waste a cash of paint :) Expect around 11 pods 1600 shots from a 68/4500.

Hey there, noob here trying to get back into paintball after a long time away. I want a new marker and was looking at the many reviews you have on your channel. I've seen so many reviews and had recently been set on dye rize maxxed until I saw this video. All of the videos I've found on markers are a year or older and thought I might ask if it's worth getting this ethos 2 or the Gtek since theyre both same price I am finding. I would get the Gtek. Right now they are on sale for $400 and come with the OLED screen, at the time of this video that would have been $650, so for sure go Gtek. If you want to spend more money, spend it on a better mask, tank, hopper something like that.

I like the Etha 2, but mainly because of the way it feels in my hands. If you can try and hold both, and just go with which ever one feels best. Both are great guns.

I think it's slightly crazy that the Etha 2 has Pops stock but the 160r doesn't. I don't mind the OOPS on the 160r, but I would have preferred not having to wait (and wait) to pay extra for the Pops.

I don't think so, I think they Axe trigger may feel a bit more "premium" but I don't think there is anything wrong with the Etha 2 triggers.

You never really know. Planet Eclipse typically come out with standard colors, and then a few months later we start to see special colors. They could do some pretty cool swirly stuff or something with the nylon though.

It has gotten to the point where I'm not ever sure I would really tell someone what the real difference is between the Etek 5 and Gtek. Yeah there a subtle difference but nothing glaring.

Voxle I ended up buying an etek5 and a gtek 160r to figure out which I preferred. and I have found that I prefer the spool guns like the gtek more. for me it goes spool>inline poppet>poppet so I like the empire guns like the axe 2 and the minigs alot too but prefer gteks where possible and etha 2 actually as it's a spool valve as well.

Look up pictures of both. The barrel difference is very different and you should be able to tell by looking at pictures.

Hmmm. It really is hard, I don't know if there really is an answer both of them are great guns. The Etek does have the OLED board option, and has more aluminum, but really I don't know lol. Im not sure that was helpful though. It has gotten really hard to differentiate the Planet Eclipse guns.

I reaaaly like the Etha 2, so I'm going Etha. If you want the upgrade to the OLED board or if you like the aluminum on the Etek 5, that go with that. Both a great guns, and you can't go wrong with either of them.

Going to probably save up for the ETHA 2 as per recommendation from a professional paintball player who competes in tournaments. He said buy an Eclipse gun so this looks like a solid choice. Cheapest I can find it is about $590 Canadian just for the gun itself though :( oh well you get what you pay for :p

It is great for both speedball or woodsball. The Etha 2 isn't as flashy, so I think some people say it is a woodsball gun

Probably not, the EMC kit didn't do that well for Eclipse, so its unlikely.

It'll probably be okay. you might notice a bit of shoot down (velocity drops when you start to shoot fast) or inconsistent velocity at high rates of fire but you'll probably be okay

1 etha 2 2 both can shoot 15 bps ramping (fields will mostly restrict it to 12 bps in semi) etha 2
