I once told this story to some folks who was camping. I was camping alone and they asked me if i wanted to join them. When everyone went to sleep only i and their daughter was left awake. She needed to go to the toilet. I made her so afraid i had to go with her and wait outside the toilet door. Best horror story to tell when you are camping. 10+ points from me.

This was pretty well done. I do agree with others here that the actor who played "The Smiling Man" should have been older and the smile a little more creepy, however, the cinematography and music were amazing. My favorite shots were the ones when we see the man on the swings and as the main character walks across the window of the house, you see "The Smiling Man" dancing to the right. This is not deserve all the dislikes it has. Great job!

At first, I thought that too. But re-watching it, I find it creepy how this version shows him younger.....but also 'old-time'. He is dressed for & dancing to music from the '40s. And he seems deliriously pleased to be doing so. Yet he is also stalking his latest victim......a fun twist on the always-good tale.

The Smiling man story is the only CreepyPasta that ever actually scared me. So the fact that the smiling man in this wasn't as terrifying as I'd pictured while listening to the actual story, helped me lose some of the terror I felt for the story. At first I agreed that the Smiling Man should have been a bit older, his smile creepier....but then I watched it again. I actually now think he is perfect for this! Its like he is a shape-shifter...or even age-shifter, that he can be any age he wants, any appearance he wants. Having him appear younger gives this a 'prequel' aspect.....very creepy! I wanted to add one more thing: THIS Smiling Man actor has the best dancing.....he actually makes you *hear* music....when there is NONE! Superb. The music is a fantastic choice also.
