It has been a long hunt but I think I have finally done it. A delicious, decadent, healthy plant based vegan brownie recipe that is salt, oil, sugar, and gluten free!!!!! I have tried sooooo many healthy brownie recipes that claim to be the best. Later, upon tasting them I find out that they are not. Not my idea of a great tasting brownie anyway. This recipe has satisfied even my very picky, chocolate connoisseur of a husband. He is constantly asking me to make more. I hope you enjoy them!

OMG! I'VE MADE BROWNIES 3 DIFFERENT WAYS, AVOCADO BROWNIES, WHICH I DIDN'T LIKE AND I THREW THEM OUT, AND THEN THE CHICKPEAS BROWNIES, AND I LIKED THEM , AND NOT ONE WENT TO WASTE.... BUT I HAD NEVER MADE THEM WITH SWEET POTATOES BEFORE!! AND IN MY HONEST OPINION, THESE ARE THE MOST RICHEST, DECADENT, FUDGY, MOIST BROWNIES I HAVE EVER TASTED IN MY LIFE!! OUT OF ALL 3 WAYS THAT I MADE THEM, I LOVE THE SWEET POTATO BROWNIES THE MOST! THEY ARE VERY VERY RICH! DELICIOUS! EVEN MY NEIGHBORS WHO AREN'T PLANT BASED WERE SHOCKED AT HOW RICH, MOIST AND FLAVORFUL THESE BROWNIES WERE!

i have been vegetarian since 1994 when i turned 18. i was raised in a mexican household where meat was the max. When i told my mom i wanted to be vegetarian she told me to wait until i turned 18 and could work so i could buy my own food. So i did. Back in 1994 there was no you tube nor vegetarian options so it was very difficult. But now it is becoming popular and easier to follow. Thank you for making vegan deserts. I am almost vegan. i do not eat eggs nor drink milk. i just cannot get over cheese. Hopefully i will find a good tasting cheese.

Thank you so much. I made them several times and they were delicious. The dates and sweet potato gave it just enough sweetness for me but for someone who isn't use to a no sugar version, it make take some time getting use to. It did for me the first time I made them, but now I look forward to having them as my new brownie treat! Good job Jill! Keep'em coming!

I made your cheesecake last week which I loved. Base was lose so might try more dates next time. So today I made these brownies. OMG, they are so good. Who’d have thought sweet potatoes would make brownies so good and healthy. I didn’t have tapioca flour so just used plain gluten free white flour. Worked for me! Next time I might mix it up and add some crushed almonds to them. And maybe even some chocolate sauce on top 😍. Looking forward to trying more of your recipes (and I don’t normally bake). Keep up the good work 👍

Hi, i was searching for vegetarian recipes because I was diagnosed with gout. So I've decided to change my whole way of eating, I saw you and your recipes and fell in love with the way you and your family eat. So for me this was hard because of finances , I'm limited as to what I can make. But this one recipe I've made today and I was amazed how delicious it is. I'm happy to have found you on KZbin. Will continue to watch your recipes and hopefully my husband won't mind to much changing his way of eating. So far he's been very supporting. Thank you very much , I can finally eat better and it taste good.

I made these today. The whole wheat flour does work as I used it instead of arrowroot or tapioca. Mine did turn out too wet but I turned my oven down to 200 and used it as more of a dehydrator rather than to continue baking them. I know there were some comments on the website about them being too wet. The dehydrating method does work in case they turn out more of a pudding texture.

Penny Anonymous I don't think they taste like coconut at all. The other milks and flour will probably work fine🤗

Loved your chocolate cheesecake recipe (talk about decadent!) and can't wait to try this one, too. I am planning on trying to alter the cheesecake one to just regular (no cocoa). Any suggestions? I am trying to avoid caffeine (I know there's cocoa in brownies, sometimes it can't be helped -haha) Also, I was wondering why you switched from VitaMix to BlendTec. I have a VitaMix and a Nutribullet and a food processor and I reach for different ones for different recipes.

Penny Anonymous I think if you replace some of the water with lemon juice it will be a plain flavored cheesecake. About a half cup of lemon juice. I changed to a Blendtec after we moved back to the states from New Zealand. My Vitamix was NZ voltage so it wouldn't work her. I like both equally for different reasons but overall the Blendtec was more affordable at the time. I do miss the Vitamix tamper though.

Penny Anonymous try carob powder. It's a plant based alternative to cacao powder without the caffeine. It tastes very similar to cacao just a little sweeter. I got some glad I did.

Penny Anonymous I bought a Blendtec when we moved back to the US. We were living in an apartment so I was concerned about how loud my Vitamix was. I like both equally for different reasons. I like the silent case for the Blendtec but miss the tamper on the Vitamix and the Blendtec was more affordable. My next video is actually going to be a classic cheesecake so watch for it. 🤗 In the mean time I believe I just used about a 1/3 cup of lemon juice instead of the cocoa powder.

I love you for making these! Two questions, is the coconut milk from a can or carton? Second, can I use cooked canned sweet potato? Thank you!

Hi. You stated that you did not add the milk but upon watching the video a 2nd time, i noticed you had added it already, so are you suppose to use 2 cups of milk or 1 cup.?

Thank you. I made them but i ended up having to add a little more milk beacuse I could not get it to mix up. But It came out just fine. They are delicious!!!1 I made, for my husband, Dunkin Hines box brownies because he does not eat plant based 100 percent yet, and mine were the bomb!! I will bake them again!!

Great channel. I like your food ideas, they have helped a lot. Question: Your recipe calls for 1 cup (volume) of dates. Does that mean as many as I can fit into 1 cup? Or do you know the gram weight?

Lara Pauley You can use cashew milk instead of the coconut milk or just use more soy milk. And in place of the coconut flour, my suggestion would be green banana flour or brown rice flour.
