Joey, you ain't kidding about the rain! Here in eastern NC we need it bad too. I had the same issue with our planter not getting the bush bean and corn seed down deep enough. It looks like whatever depth you're supposed to plant it you need to go 1/2" to 1" deeper with the planter. Looking good! God bless, brother!

I never could get okra to germinate. My grandmother told me 50 years ago to put the seed in the freezer for a couple of days. It cracks the hard shell. No problem ever since then.

You need you either a Jang or a Hoss Tools planter. I have both and they are both excellent planter/seeders. I use allot of pelletized seed from Johnny's for both planters. The Jang planter will literally plant mustard seed.

JT if you'll take your planter and plates and wash them with dawn soap the seeds want get behind the plate. I called earthway and this is what they recommended and it works.

You should invest in a Stand n Planter .It digs the hole for you and you drop the plant down the tube and it pulls the dirt back around the plant.I bought one because of my bad knees,I do not have to do any squats anymore.$130.00.You will be glad you bought one.

Have you ever planted any determinate variety of Tomatoes? I found one that is an awesome variety and it grows BIG slicing tomatoes with a great flavor. You have to let them turn completely red on the vine to get the best flavor, but it's a very heavy producer. I found them on Hoss Grows website called a Hossinator. If you try them, i promise you won't be disappointed. They will need to be heavily trellised. it's a multiple stem tomato plant and it producers a LOT of BIG heavy Tomatoes. Last year, I planted 4 in my raised beds, and even after the storms rolled in and broke one of my plants, i was still able top harvest over 80 lbs of fresh ripe tomatoes. I gave over 40 lbs of them to the local church food pantry. PLUS, all my family and friends had their fill on tomatoes for weeks. That was off just 3 of the 4 plants. The 4th hardly produced because it was broken off about 1 ft above ground level.

Good video Joey and Sammy! It's good to see a father teaching his children how to grow their own food and take care of their equipment! I appreciate Sammy's concern about funding the greenhouse. As an agriculture and horticulture teacher I always had to practically beg for money for programs and the sports programs had money coming from all directions! I always asked my students, what would we be without agriculture? Hungry, naked, and homeless!

Good video Joey. Sorry I didn't get to watch it all the way till after the live. Nice to see Sammy helping and learning. Yes sir we need more trade schools and vocational schools. Good verse on the live. The stuff going on with these people is sickening. Never thought I would live to see the world in this shape. Beautiful tomato plants too. Beautiful looking start to your gardens.
