I like your default blender scene. I need a 2m sign now.

Can one go also the other way around and get something from Blender over to Plasticity via the Blender Bridge? Guess not, hm?
@takerefuge3d18 күн бұрын
No but you can import polygon meshes as a reference and you can snap curve points to the vertices. and I have done two videos on converting a polygon mesh into nurbs surfaces one for studio license and one for indy licence.

Hey, mine won't connect on blender. I also have the free trail, so maybe that's why?. But I'm thinking of buying it.

I don't remember but I think you need a licence to use blender Bridge, you should still be able export as obj on the trial though!

Would I need a workstation pc to utilize this? I’m buying a computer with my tax return and a bambu printer. I have numerous ideas to print and sell, just need to figure out what gear I need
@takerefuge3d11 ай бұрын
Hey there, you wouldn't need a workstation perse a decent mid tier gaming set up would be more than enough, for context I'm still using a rtx2070. Do your own research but I think an AMD CPU and an NVIDIA GPU is pretty good combo.

Just curious, how do you plan to utilize this for 3d printing? There shouldn't be a need to bring the model into Blender, unless I'm missing something..
@Wulfbaine19 ай бұрын
@LeoD.J I found blender good for checking the mesh for any weird stuff before printing and making sure it's converted to a solid object

If you want perfect edge flow going from cad to poly you'll need to manually retopo mind you!

@@takerefuge3d you have quad remesher , you better use it
@astrongwater802710 ай бұрын
Is it necessary to retopo if it’s not an organic model? You can auto unwrap uv’s in blender or Maya. Curious on your take. Thanks!
@takerefuge3d10 ай бұрын
This entirely depends on what you want to use it for, for game engines or large scenes you would want to do some level of retopo. I like to optimize my assets for "next gen" game engines so if it's got alot of small details etc I might bake those into height and normal data so the engine can handle tessellation on the fly if it's something that is going to be in alot of close up shots I'll spend more time on my UV's etc. But not nessacary to retopo unless your project requires it.
