It's hard to describe just how upsetting the Valiant situation is for those of us who were hardcore Valiant fans. The sheer maliciousness of the org whose team I was loyal to is hard to stomach, for one. For another, I'm invested in OWL as a personal hobby and as something that brings me joy, stimulation, engagement and something to look forward to during a time when most of us have very little to look forward to. Destroying the team that I was by far and away most invested in goes some way towards destroying this whole hobby for me.

I don't think that the OWL is to blame, but I do believe they have a responsibility to investigate this situation and discipline IGC accordingly if they find that there was shady stuff going on like waiting for the absolute last min to apply for visa's on purpose so they could drop their entire NA roster. Also what Bren said @ 49:30 Idk why it's that surprising a team bent the rules to suit them, look at Wash Justice last post-season hiring Decay to fill a spot they already had players for bending the whole 2wk contract rule which was meant for teams who had visa issues and couldn't have their regular player in that position go to KR... Idk why this is even a surprise, esports is becoming a massive business and all the scummy people from big business who don't really care about esports at all come along with that

I'm a Dallas fan and the Decay thing doesn't even compare to this. I don't think blizzard expected a team to completely screw over all personnel. Washington made playoffs entertaining and the 2 teams that deserved to go to Korea, still got to go. @@dirtyjesus9293 I know it's nothing in comparison to how egregious this Valiant situation is, just using it as an example when an org/team bent/abused the rules in a way that wasn't anticipated by OWL. My point was that OWL should make the wording of their rules tighter so abuses like this don't happen in the future because clearly they can't trust the orgs/teams/owners to do use the rules in the way they were designed for. That, or punish IGC harshly so teams don't try to pull this BS again. I think OWL has a responsibility to the players and fans to at least take a look into this and punish the org with fines or whatever they deem fit if they find they have abused the rules (which it seems pretty clearly that they did). Players quit jobs and college/university/education for opportunities like this, it's a completely shit situation that IGC made for them. A move to China must've been planned for MONTHS in advance, this wasn't a small decision made last minute. It seems like they purposely waited until the last moment they could to even apply for visas so they could use that as an excuse. It's completely unacceptable, and I think although OWL isn't responsible for this situation IGC created, I think they do have a responsibility to the players and fans to investigate IGCs conduct

Hot take: I think Tobi is better than Moth and Leejaegon. I feel like there is a lot of team bias when it comes to the conversation, but Tobi basically has the best of both worlds. He almost never feeds like Moth but he makes HUGE plays like Leejaegon. Looking at it the other way he makes a TON of plays unlike Moth who plays a bit safer (remember Seoul's strategy was to have Gesture do crazy stuff and Tobi rez him) and he never ends up feeding against good teams like Leejaegon does sometimes. In my eyes he has the perfect mix of a play maker who doesn't feed and that's why he's the best.
