Did everyone hear that RaiN went into military service because of Valiant dropping him so late? Whereas he had offers from other teams early in the offseason that he didn't take because he wanted to stay with Valiant? The former Valiant team translator said this on twitter. Also, Sideshow, if the league isn't going to put any rules in place to prevent orgs from being this shitty, then I think the org deserves for the team to lose every game, they deserve to get no coverage and no platform (and absolutely no fluff pieces!!!) because something should disicentivize them from being shitty. We shouldn't try to save the narrative because then what's stopping other teams from being shitty in the exact same way next year? Yes, it's not the players' fault and if people want to root for them then fine, but why should the league be promoting them?

@@danielfrost6327 nah orgs sold their spots before, for example outlaws. Sure they lost money because they couldnt do live events, but that was more last season. This season nobody has rented stadiums or bought flights between the games. Everything is online so they can make less money, but dont have to spend as much. Also OWL was always a long time project. The spots arent worth the 20 mill or whatever right now, but maybe in the future when it grows.

(and you have to pay for that with the buy in price)

Possibly, if your team gets a “Team Kill” a small control point near the opponent’s spawn is opened up 10-20 seconds after the “Team Kill”, which, when captured gives your team 5% more speed and damage for 1-2 minutes. The objective also takes 5% longer to cap and disappears after 1-2 minutes if not captured. If the point is being contested after the timer runs out it is put in a state of “overtime” where, if contested, it won’t disappear; but, if for a certain amount of time it is not being captured or contested it will become locked again until another “Team Kill.” I think this would work best in push and possibly assault. The same concept can work in escort where if the cart is pushed or contested for a consecutive 1-2 minutes the same control point opens up with the same attributes to the previous.

It was Vainglory: there were minion miners ln both sides of the jungle and each could boost minion power when captured. There was also a gold miner in the center of the jungle that gave gold payouts to the capturing team and, for a few patches, would fight for the team that captured it. Both of these elements made the games very snowbally and hard to come back from.

Tbh with how they showed the different objective types and how the map objectives changed in pve hero missions in the blizzcon showcase makes me optimistic that micro objectives could be possible in pvp variants. But the problem with micro objectives is that it will ensure that high mobility characters like tracer, ball, and lucio are good forever, because mobility characters will be able to get to the objectives faster AND return to their team faster.

However, there are particles involved where we quite literally don't know their position or speed (one of both). Starlink already works good it's not for urban areas. The tunnel is just so that auto pilot can write extremely fast without traffic lights it also works and they are beginning to build more. The tunnel must have les ventilation if electric cars drive in it + it is better for tesla to only allow tesla's but in the future there wil be other electric cars allowed.

This new Valiant is basically original Dragons and last year's Titans rolled into one. It's sad for both the old and new players. But the old players that got signed and then screwed over deserve justice. Some kind of punishment to IGC needs to happen. Otherwise this is just another case of people getting away with terrible behavior and this country has already done far more than enough of that recently.

I'm so thrown by how differently the world is treating Covid at this time. We could host week 1 live in Atlanta with a full crowd (which would be nice since they stopped doing live events the week before our homestand last year). Florida, Dallas, and Houston too. I think home stands are the greatest and want more. But Gladiators won't be ready to host a crowd until 2024.

1:21:00 so basically Battleborn. The game the OW newborn community shit on at launch (granted, the PR was terrible) and laughed at, which had narrative pve missions, pvp modes with minions, lanes, micro objective, lots of cool shit going on, a way higher focus on developping characters ' story and personality (many of the 30 characters had above 30 minutes of dialogue when put back to back, at their launch; good luck havingthat with OW characters) and where by leveling up character account side you would unlock lore tidbits about them and so on. Played it btw, it was a cool game even if it had big flaws here and there (so was OW anyway; just not the same). It's dead now, by lack of players. Guess we have no choice but to hope for OW to bring in all these cool battleborn elements with OW2 then. Can't help but find it heavily ironic though. There was definitely a place for both game in term of a healthy community size.

Just want to point out that from a mathematical standpoint, Jaws thinks Valiant will perform better than Season 1 Shanghai. If Valiant manage to win 8 maps, no matter what, that would put them at a map winrate above 13.41% (which is what Shanghai had in season 1).
