Very informative. Thanks, Stu. I just learned to play the notes on any major scale using the phone number 221-2221 which corresponds to how many frets you move your finger on a string. Eg. Starting at the open C string you move 2 frets down to get D, then 2 frets down to get E then one fret down to get F etc. The phone number works for all scales.

Yes… That is the intervallic spacing of whole steps and half steps in a major scale… Great job, finding a system that works for you, Mike!

Hello Stu ! What about you thumb when piccato ? Resting along the freboardt or on top of uke ? Piccato for me is not so obvious, I've must train for this technic, seems very useful for quick picking ! Mahalo from Lifou (Drehu) island, somewhere in South Pacific !
