THANK YOU! I can make a magic loop with the “beginner yarn” for my amigurumi, but not regular weight 4 yarn and I desperately want to try your granny squares. It took me a few tries but I have the hang of it now 😊❤

Great idea of making this. This helps most of them to do the magic ring in alternative way. Lovely share.

Hi there Where did you get that lovely sun pattern from (I couldn't find it on the Hobbycraft link below)? Thank you.

www.hobbycraft.co.uk/ideas/knitcraft/granny-square-month-cal-2020. I decided not to make it "fuzzy" like the original pattern. Square 10

These are not my designs but you can easily find them here: www.hobbycraft.co.uk/pages/grannysq (This was for a July Crochet Cal I participated in @play_hooky_with_me_. instagram page)

Yes! I need to try this when I get some practice yarn. (Started weaving before I started crocheting, so I have velvet yarn. Very texture sensitive. And OCD. Are there any yarns that are soft but cheap?) I'm making scarves for my grandma and brother figure.
@PlayHookywithMe3 жыл бұрын
I’m sure you can find some soft affordable yarns. Most synthetic yarns are inexpensive. Chunky baby blanket yarns are pretty good for scarves . Bernat baby blanket comes to mind. The balls are big so you could get a scarf made with one ball. The velvet yarn you have sounds perfect though.

Here is the pattern I adapted back in 2020. I will add to the list but this is where I started and decided to not make it fluffy. www.hobbycraft.co.uk/on/demandware.static/-/Sites-hobbycraft-uk-master/default/dwb09bb04c/Ideas/pdfs/knitcraft/granny-square-month-cal-2020%7CSquare%208%20Pattern%20Download.pdf

This trick really worked because whenever I do a magic circle I always fail lol

For some reason, I’ve never been able to master a magic ring… 😱and quite frankly, I’d rather do the 3-4 chain method👍🤭

I get that, I really do. This technique is the best of both worlds 👍🏻🧶💕
