Ridge Racer games were traditionally, the first ever Sony approved games and launch titles whenever a Playstation console would launch. If you check their codes, you'll notice that. PS1: Ridge Racer (SLPS-00001) JP PS2: Ridge Racer 5 (SLPS-20001) JP PSP: Ridge Racer (UCAS-40015) JP - weird numbering here. There are no games below 15 using the UCAS code so it is the first. PS3: Ridge Racer 7 (BLJS-10001) JP PS Vita: Ridge Racer (VLJS-00001) JP PS4: Nothing - RIP Ridge Racer

Metal Gear Acid was a good 8/10 for me as it was a great way to play at the time a 3d game and its stealth is very engaging. It was very accessible on the go and converted the action based gameplay to a turn based one yet still allows for using similar tactics you would in the real timed metal gear solid series (including peace walker). The sequel metal gear acid 2 got a 9/10 on ign! it streamlined the previous entry's gameplay which is why it scored a lot better as the story was less good. It even had a multiplayer vs on it and boss arena. With more cards, you could theme your characters after many different mg characters like boss or vamp or even a johnny sasaki. I played a lot of the psp - it's my most favourite and I even had a good pc that could play far cry and fear at the time. The metal gear games, especially the ac!d series, were my favourite and I got to play online too, just not on peace walker. Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops was my favourite mgs game, it was a great miss of new and old and even had a semi functional fps, way better than golden eye 64 to be honest (with regular n64 controllers). I liked the mulitiplayer like mgs online and socom game. It had a great rpg line, and my favourite was Jeanne D'arc, which was a very nice streamlined mga tactical turn based game. Sometimes series are difficult to transition to the handheld from console like action adventures which wasn't really good on the gameboy until kid dracula (as the castvania series was a bit lackluster on the gb og for a bit). Jeanne D'arc was a very simplified but engaging take on the tactical genre which is a bit more casual friendly but works for handheld. It focuses on even clips for the game and short matches as to allow on the go playing.

You can capture footage using their respective component cables, then into an hdmi adapter for modern capture devices. There’s a psp cable that’s recent which goes into hdmi and there’s an old device which I have called the PyleHD42. It has a PSP video connector and hdmi output to 720p. The first two will have letterboxing but the last one has a button to remove that and fill the 16x9 screen. It’s a hard to find device these days but that’s what you can do for capture. The connector is different for the Go model of course.

My most played PSP games were GTA Liberty City, Medieval, Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles, Twisted Metal, Loco Roco, Untold Legends, and a few more games. I bought the PSP the day it released , (for more money than should have been paid) anyways, I loved my PSP to absolute death and I carried it around in a case with a cloth where I would shine the hell out of my screen protected display basically keeping it at Brand New Status. I would never let the battery die, I bought special earphones just so I could be enthralled in the music of each game especially the sounds of GTA. This was my most proud item that I owned and I was one of the few people I knew who had one. I would let my friends try playing it because a handheld that was so vastly different than a Gameboy Advance SP made me feel so much intrigue that I wanted them to experience it as well. They all loved it and said it was the coolest thing ever. Well, I had it for around 2 months with it looking brand new, no scratches, all my games were protected, I had all my pamphlets and box for the PSP still, but I knew I wanted to upgrade my pride of joy to the next level. I went to games stop and purchased a combo PSP kit that came with a new heftier carrying case, PSP Game Holder, another pair of Earphones, another screen protector, and screen cloth. With that I was spoiling my new friend, but then I saw it, for around 15$ I could be the new owner of set of colorful PSP analog sticks. These weren’t the flat paper thin analogs disguised as speakers like the system came with, but an upgrade. I made my purchase and got home where I set everything out and started to operate. I saved the best for last, I took a flat piece of something in my room and gently popped off the flat disk that claimed to be an analog and I removed my new beefy PS2 reminiscent type analogs meant specifically for my PSP out of the blister pack. I popped the analog onto my PSP and started up GTA which was the true test for the new control stick. (I was planning to grab the Diablo Stallion and lead foot the gas pedal in hopes I got enough speed to shoot through the air right through the center of the Giant Donut stunt location) The analog felt absolutely perfect... for about 1 minute. I ran my charter in a circle and it felt nice and before I could hop in a car all of a sudden my dreams were dashed. The analog just randomly broke... it broke so so so easily that my mind was refusing to believe it.. I was destroyed and furious I had just spent over 30$ a mere hour ago for it to be wasted and break my PSP. At this time no one I knew did repairs and GameStop wouldn’t take responsibility for their faulty system breaking piece of hard rubber... my only option was to try and find an analog replacement kit online and it was a sign from the gods, there were many online for a measly few bucks. I placed my order and waited over a month to get my analog from China. When it finally arrived I had purchased the appropriate tools need for the jobs and had done tons of video research on how to replace it which was a piece of cake. (It’s actually quite easy to be honest you just have to be super careful) I prepped my work area and got to work, everything went smoothly and the analog was perfectly in place and it looked like it was factory quality. I put my old reliable flat speaker analog on for extra precaution and put in GTA to set the scene where I redeem myself. I walked around in a circle and *Click*....... the identical exact same friggin thing happened just as fast as before... so now I have two analog kits stuck wanting to go one way with zero desire to recenter itself. After two months of being a father, I watched my son break both his legs and never be able to recover.. (Granted over a decade later I met my fiancé and she had a PSP and she is the one that purchased me Castlevania at a flea market for my Birthday which i still have and cherish, but I had my original PSP for such a small amount of time that any games I listed that came out after the first 3 months of the PSPs launch, those were games I bought for my Fiancé’s PSP. Anyways, life’s to short to take for granted. Be thankful for every second your system gives you, it may be one button press away from being its last)

Yes, I have a 1001 and no memory card so I only use it for remote play to play PS4 games but I'm getting a original memory card in a few months and a couple games. I got the system for 90 US dollars on Ebay.
