Blinking orange light eventho charging for 8hours or more? its a glitch on the battery. Open your vita,there are 8 screws of it. 4 at the back. 2 at the side and 2 under the rubber cap. slowly & carefully disconnect the battery from the board. and connect it again. close the cover. there you go,you will have a solid orange light without blinking anymore. give it 2hours40minutes for fully charged battey

I used to be a network administrator for a company. Now you have to understand from my point of view this is absolutely great what sony did because as you put it people are "stupid" when it does come to certain things. When you own a product and distribute it you need to make sure you explain everything and anything. Not being rude or anything its just common logic if your a person like me that has to document or explain every detail because I understand what sony is doing.

Mine was working perfectly fine at the start of the week. Though when I tried using it on Wednesday it mysteriously stopped working. The AC adapter no longer seems able to charge it anymore. I tried buying a new adapter but that won't work either. Even plugging it in with USB doesn't work either. Smooth move Sony you utter cretins for preventing people from replacing the battery.

Ivan Singrasabout I managed to finally sort the problem out back in May. Turned out it was just a flat battery and the adapter wasn't connecting properly. It's working again now.

Could not for the life of me figure out what had happened when my Vita screen went black after playing the first 3.5 hours of Uncharted Golden Abyss. Onandonandomnom it sounds like the battery is no longer able to hold any charge (probably surpassed its life) unfortunately the only way to fix this is to get a new ps vita or get it repaired(battery replacement). Sometimes getting a new charger works or do what I did and have a portable battery around.

The PS Vita is more than a beast of gaming console is a entertainment world in your hands. With KZbin, Netflix, Video Unlimited and the PS Store. Also two camera decent enough to video chat and record videos in 1080p. Also a really fast web browser. Also is a social beast with foursquare twitter, Facebook Flickr. Also two great painting apps and remote play and cross play with ps3. Continuing your games on the go is great. Also Google Maps works perfectly on it. PS Vita is beyond awesome...

Ps vita= most powerful handheld of all time, yet most underrated and undersold. Sony, you should release lots of popular first party titles. Then people would buy them for the 1st party games, then developers see its selling and make games for it, then more people want it because of the 3rd party games. Release God of War on it and try to get GTA:San Andreas on it. That would be epic.

here try this. Turn your ps3 off. then hold the power button until you hear 2 beeps. Once u hear the second beep, u have completed a visual reset meaning that it should look for your tv and try to connect through hdmi.

My vita came missing 2 screws and when I took it apart to see if the board was damaged, it was as when I went to remove the battery the connector came of without any force which is total bs as that means it wasn't worked on properly I don't know sh** when it comes to soldering or repair I wish I could just ship my vita somewhere to get fixed by someone who knows what they're doing as I won't sell it or throw it out either

And a lot of great useful Apps. I guess you only bought awful games. The PS Vita is greats console with a lot of good things. People need to buy it before saying is awful. I just a got a Japanese OLED model and I thought it charged different. Forgetting that micro USBs weren't really a widespread thing when the original Vitas came out. Oops
