I started with this layout and the fact I couldn't easily put an incline in the northeast corner is exactly why I started terraforming. If you're in desperate need for an incline, it won't be terrible to just knock the cliff back slightly and add in a natural incline (maybe one going up towards the left, to reduce how much editing you'd need). I think, especially towards the sections where you'd transition out of your Main Street section, don't be afraid of stopping the brick further away from the river and letting some natural elements be on the river banks. Think about cities with creaks running through, they don't build everything straight up there, and it just counts as city land. Extend the path up towards a lookout point somewhere, but otherwise be willing to just have some negative space. That change towards the end really showcases why it works. If you wanted to section off that tree so badly by the river, making the curb go straight across, but have the custom brick back 2-3 grids wide and have a drinking fountain there or something. That look also mimics the storefront curb which looks really nice with a separated raised curb section.

ideas for nooks yard; i think there's enough space for both seating and the little bikes. you could put the bikes right across the vending machines and seating in the middle part. Also for the empty area next to nooks, you could put some boxes and make it like a shipping/storage area for the shop?

Very nice! I really like the plaza design. I redesigned my island completely and I made my Nook's Cranny into a convenience store with gas station and laundromat. I elevated my museum behind the Resident Services along with the Able Sisters and a restaurant with an Internet café.

I feel like you should allow yourself to terraform the cliffs just so you can fit an incline somewhere reasonable :(. Everyone who buys the game has access to that feature, and even if they feel like they're not good at using it, I know a lot of people will carve out somewhere for their stairs.

Its called walking leaf :) its an insect in the game and i believe its the only one of its type. Its only spawns during summer months in the game and no worries youll get used to it pretty quick.

Go to system settings. Go to system. Find the zoom icon (should be 3rd one down) Select zoom and turn it on. Then to activate zoom double press the home button. Use the X and Y buttons or the touchscreen to zoom in/out
