But as we all got older, I settled down and had a family. He has been divorced multiple times and never seems to be able to keep close friends or relationships. Eventually people see it’s all one-sided with him. My daughter is almost 3 and he’s never even shown interest in being an uncle to her. It’s like he competes with a toddler for attention. Just all really sad.

This blew me away. The reason being ‘cause I can see way too much of myself in him. He’s a lot worse, especially with just how long he goes on without any prompting or positive reinforcement, making it seem like he isn’t nervously trying to work his way up to any real point like I would, and instead just making the whole “beating around the bush” thing his entire shtick. None of it makes any sense. At no point does he even try to make an attempt to ask her out on a date. Most the stuff he rambled about are things I would expect to be talked about on a first couple dates. To a complete stranger nonetheless. He never once asks about what she does or what she's into. He randomly brings up completely unrelated things for minutes at a time like the ducks at the park and about the shrug emoji over. And over. And over. And over. I wasn't even cringing through most of this, I was getting angry. Then he gets abruptly creepy for no reason about the big feet and "baby doll" comment. Not to mention he's almost constantly bringing up all these gigs and live shows he claims to be doing in between all of his tangents. Willing to bet he's not nearly as busy or talented as he says. I'm fairly confident that the only "gig" he ever did was a high school talent show when he was 15 and still couldn't play barre chords yet. Hell I'm rambling about how illogical all of this is. There's so many other minor comments he made I could pick at but this comment would be as long as the Bible if I did that.
