Good morning! I'm so glad you had a great Christmas! Mine was somewhat sad. This is my 3rd Christmas without my son. He committed suicide after a pill addiction. Who would have ever thought my sweet funny honor roll student would ever do this! It just goes to show you never know who is suffering to this extent. Daniel was my only son, I have one daughter. I spent my Christmas with my grandchildren, one of which is my son's daughter. She was home from college. After 3 years I'm beginning to enjoy things again. Videos like yours always help me get through bad days. I'm so glad you had such a great Christmas! Give those sweet girls a hug from me!!!

Ashley & Stan, I have never commented on a video for anyone, but after watching this video and seeing Izzy walking and standing next to Stan, the tears just started flowing, I remember when you both went and picked Izzy up and her in the fetal postion in that horrible stroller and look at the beautiful, happy girl she is today! WOW!! You both haven given her a place she knows she is safe and loved, and she has blossomed.

I have 3 children I adopted with special need. We have the same or at least a similar swing. It has been a favorite for years. My children are now in the late teens and still love it. They liked it so much I found a divide that allowed the swing to hang from the ceiling in our family room. Our house is small, only 1000 square feet. It is relatively easy to take the swing down and put it back up as the kids want to use it. My 16 year old often likes to take a nap on the swing. Many times I have found him sound asleep curled up on the swing. I know your girls will love it as well as your other kids.

That is the way I prefer it for Christmas. Enjoy watching others open the gifts one at a time. Also, seeing your daughter and granddaughter that close: It’s like your daughter is helping her younger self unwrap a gift. It is wild how those 2 beautiful girls look alike.

Christmas chaos is almost always exhausting. But ! I love it, and would not change it! For filming family moments like that, consider putting you camera on a small tripod, on a shelf. Make the view as wide as you can. That way u get the footage, but are able to actually be in the moment and more present. Looking thru a lense takes you out of those moments ;)

Have you ever tried chiropractic for Izzy? I used to nanny for chiropractors and they would adjust their girls during a lunch break when they were having a rough day and the change was immediate. I've always wondered if Izzy would have great benefits from it when she is going through a challenging time. Best wishes for 2024! Praying for you and the family to have a wonderful year.

Happy new year Ashley hope this year brings you great things. I love to see Izzy walking, it must take so much courage when you cannot see. I had some tough news over Christmas, the vet told me that my dog has cancer all through his lymph nodes, I have booked the date for his final visit to the vet as I won’t let him suffer for even a day, it’s just been me and the dog for the last ten years so it’s going to feel very quiet and empty without him bounding about. If you remember keep us In your prayers, it’s a painful time Gen xx

This is so touching as adoption is in my family as well. I am blind, and I use a white cane and that was really really awesome!!! You must be proud and you are proud parents. This is just a really kind tip for you, so please do not take offense. it should always be called a white cane and never called the cane a stick. It is more than just that the cane is her eyes. I absolutely love your videos and thanks for sharing.

Happy New Year, Felts family! 🎊 I wonder if Isabelle would benefit from a pediatric chiropractor that has experience working with children with special needs. My good friend’s daughter has autism & she absolutely loves going to the chiropractor. She craves the pressure, & after just a few sessions, we’ve seen such an improvement in her mood & behavior.
