If you feel like giving up please watch this video. This is for you.. I was not going to do this video but every day I got a sign telling me that I need to do a video for somebody out there at the end of their rope. I met a magical music man in the park named Jazz I want to introduce you to. Hopefully, he will be able to read your comments wherever he is. I also want to share with you my journey rebuilding my life from the bottom up. Thank you for being here today!

I do relate. My life changed 11 years ago when my 13 yr.old Granddaughter died in a tragic accident. I vowed to live better and bigger in her name. I went through my divorce and all that was done to me personally, I was becoming a woman that I did not recognize. I remember hurting so much some days, I could barely breathe. I wanted to hurt them the way they hurt me, I wanted back my things I had no strength to fight for.them. One day a sweet older lady came and spoke with me. I will never forget what she said. You want revenge? Then live your life well. I sneered and thought that was the silliest thing I ever heard. Precious things were taken from me, including my pride. Every day I woke up and made a choice to have the life I wanted, things I wanted to do. In time probably that first year was so hard. But, I made myself get up every day and find good in it. In three years I lived in an apartment that I loved and for the first time it was MINE. Everything that I thought was stolen, I didn’t miss anymore. My apartment was nicer then the house I moved out of. What I did differently was I remembered the greatest revenge was living well. I worked 2 jobs, people gave me things, and I taught myself painting techniques etc. My daughter told me not to long ago that she had never heard me laugh, now I find joy is the simplest things. I worked my way up and went to work at the corporate office. Met a wonderful man we have been together over ten years. We have a blended family of five and 8 of the most beautiful grandchildren on the planet. I stopped putting my faith in people and placed my hope and faith in Jesus Christ. Learned to trust him to show me the way. And you know what? He has never failed me, even when I failed him.

13 years ago I lost my little boy to cancer. He was my youngest, my baby. Even though he was sick he never gave up. He lived life the fullest and enjoyed every moment. He loved life like no other. After he passed it was very difficult not give up. I was and will always be heartbroken 💔, but I promised to never give up just like him. I believe that is the best way to honor his life is to never give up, and live as he did. He was a blessing from God, and I am so honored that I was given the chance to be his Mom. Forever loved, forever missed, forever my son 💙

13 years ago - I also lost my 26yo son in a vehicular accident. He was my oldest, my first born baby. As stated above, "it was very difficult to not give up". I did want to go on another moment. I stayed in the game for our family, a husband, another son, a grieving girlfriend of my son, and numerous others. To all of the grieving mothers out there (also dads), my heart goes out to you for staying in the game of life. We all know, only too well, that it is by the GRACE if GOD that we are all still breathing. I pray that you all have more strength - abundantly more - in the following days! Love to you all.

I waterlogged an expensive camera too a couple of years ago on the trip of a lifetime to India, in the city of Varanasi. I was walking down one of the ghats, the staircases, that go down to the Ganges and on the last step I slipped and fell in! I had my camera and my phone in my purse and, like yours, my phone survived but not my camera. 🙁 It was a bummer because I bought the camera specifically to take fab photos in India. The Indians told me that the Ganges was holy, and I had been blessed. So I held on to that. The lack of the camera freed me from observing all the wonder through a lens, and to see and experience it all with my senses. It was all unforgettable, especially the people. And, truth be told, I made a lot of gorgeous photos with that phone that survived its Ganges blessing! So you’re right, regret only cause unnecessary suffering. Every moment of our lives, every choice, every experience, brought us to the moment we are in right now. And as John Lennon said, “Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end.” 😉

Darlene, I can relate to what you are going through. My wonderful husband of 55 years passed away suddenly in March of this year. He was such a kind, gentle man and I miss him so much. I feel like a small boat drifting alone in a big sea. However, in my heart I feel he is near and watching over me. I am in another state now, staying with our daughter. My life has changed drastically in just a few months. But, for my Bob, I will try to move forward and never give up. Take care sweetie. I know you are being watched over also.

Susan, I love the advice of checking to see if renter's insurance will cover the repair. Also, at the risk of sounding awful (I apologize in advance) you didn't lose Desi, you didn't lose your health and you have people that love you very much. You have a back up camera! Don't give up! Put one foot in front of the other. This week our washing machine and fridge died along with my husband's laptop. It's an oh crap week! But I still have my older border collie! Life is okay. If you have renter’s insurance, there may be some coverage for your camera. Please contact Canon USA, we go to the headquarters in Irvine, CA, when we need repairs and they may be able to advise you about your camera too! Giving up is not an option, there’s always a way to thrive.

Let go of thoughts that weigh you down - you’ll feel better. I’ve had so many bad things happen but still I keep getting up. I think so long as I have a roof over my head, food on the table and my health and seeing my family that’s all that matters. Regret is a killer and very hard to stop. It’s too late we’ve done it. This moment is all that matters now. I literally fell in a pothole a few weeks ago and still hurting and limping. I Smashed my knee and face but rolled over and people helped me up.

This was one of my favorite videos of yours. I think that everyone feels like giving up at times, but not everyone gets the encouragement to not give up. Think of how many people you may have helped through a troublesome time by not giving up and deciding to make this video. I think that people with the most credibility are those that have dealt with difficulties and have come through it stronger, wiser, and more insightful. We all struggle at one time or another- Christ tells us that we will have them. The key, which is often the difficult part, is not to let the struggles and pain we incur derail us from His will and His truth. It might be my misinterpretation, but I see women today more lost or hurting - even though we have more comfort, ease and advantages than ever before. Regret is something I've struggled with for as long as I can remember. Last year has just piled it on my mother passed away in May of 2020 and I regret not doing things differently so maybe she might still be here. and I would not be in the horrible situation I'm in if only I could find the strength to be brave and stop letting anxiety and depression control me.

Every time ypu think the thoughts that make you anxious and depressed, try to push it out of your mind by thinking of something calming, or beautiful or something you are grateful for. After time goes by it will get easier and you will have healthier thoughts.

So SORRY to hear of your pain. Thankful to hear, though, that you will not give up - Lord Willing you will have more good days to come than bad. I know full well what it is to think you can't go on and that you want to give up. At 50, I was diagnosed with colorectal cancer, leading me through countless appts, surgeries and unthinkable pain, leaving me wanting to give up too many times to count. I am so BLESSED today, 16 years later to be healed, and now the Nana to 9 precious grandchildren who make my heart overflow with joy. Bless your heart. I had a very dear friend who developed scelerderma right after she graduated from college in the late 70's. She was a beautiful girl and the disease totally changed her looks and her life. But, she made up her mind to live the best life she possibly could and boy did she. She was a talented artist and always found a way to hold her brushes and pencils. Her name, Teresa Nadeau, and if you Google her name I promise you will find all kinds of inspiration. Even though she is now in heaven, she still continues give help and hope through her writings and videos. I love listening to your videos. This video came to me at a good time, several years ago, I got a heel and ankle inflamation, then it healed over some. Now, a few days ago, my knee flamed up, and I can't walk without a cane. Never give up! I'm determined that I will heal through this inflamation again! God bless you and yours.

Thanks for listening to that still small voice that told you to go ahead and make this video. I think it was God speaking through you to encourage others who really feel down and failing at what life hasn't in their path. My husband has a little sign his dad gave him that says:Success is getting up one more time than you fall down. You did that and we are so grateful for that. I really didn't see any difference in the filming of this video. It is the total embodiment of your soul that comes out in your videos, there is beauty in the photography and music and content but the truth and transparency of your storytelling and your warm heart is what is most important. If I want to encourage somebody that’s giving up I just try to show them the good things going on in their life. And point out to them for the next 12 months are going to go by anyway why not try to do the thing you want to do and be further along in 12 months. PLEASE be careful with Desi jumping off your bed, or other furniture. I've had two dachshunds and I know you mentioned Desi is half shiatsu, but he looks like he is mostly wired haird dachshund to me. Please take extra care with his back because a dachshund can easily injure their back jumping off furniture, especially a bed. I just recenhly started watching your videos and you mentioned a man you were dating for quite a while who did not want Desi to move in with him. It is so obvious how much you and Desi adore each other, so its hard to believe this man either couldn't see this love, or simply didn't care. It sounded as if he would have been okay dropping Desi off at the nearest animal shelter without the slightest care for either you, or Desi. There are so many heartless, unfeeling people in this world. You really did dodge a bullet when the relationship ended. Relationships with people who don't love animals, ESPECIALLY dogs, never works out.

Susan, you could be using your phone to video and you would still do a great job! I just got back from visiting a friend who does not have long to live. Giving up is not in her vocabulary, you see this is her second bout with cancer and she is still not giving up! At 85 her doctor told her it was best not to go thru chemo again and she asked: why not? He said it would make her sick and she said: bring it on- if it gives me more time I’ll take it! She did the whole course of chemo but cancer has won this battle yet she still says she will get better! Never giving up is what her family and friends have received from her-- this wonderful gift from this beautiful and wonderful woman!
