Hell of a wrecker! Please keep Sadie and Bud safer as the snowmelt continues and the creeks/streams/rivers rage even stronger. They could get swept away in a heartbeat. It’s happened in our community in the past and we’d dislike it if it were to happen again.

Crack the hydraulic hoses to the main boom. A 5 gallon bucket to catch the hydraulic fluid. That will drop the machine on its tracks and easier to move.

I recovery a lot pipeline same like this in 30 years.first steam clean machine,second drag as possible on pave and last drain all oil with new oil and filter.i pick up dozer,hoe,fuel truck,low bed etc. Just take one time.good luck and good towing recovery.calgary alberta canada

That was hard to watch. So, the biggest issue was that the hydraulic rams kept the boom pinned to the ground and you needed somebody in the cab to release the pressure. You're going to have to disassemble the boom from the excavator. Get 500gal of water and a 3600psi pressure sprayer and get the mud cleaned off. Now you'll be able to winch it up on a trailer and haul it to the shop. Drain everything pull the covers. pull the injector pump and injectors..All the hydraulic oil and make sure the hyd pumps are clean. YOu're going to run diesel fuel through the engine to clean all the oil gally's. with the starter Hopefully, you won't need to pull the head. Basically disassemble and clean. Put it back together put the fluids in it and start it up... oh... all the seals in the main track drive components and bearings..

After you get as much water out as possible. Pull glow plugs and turn motor over so you don't bend a connecting rod. Change fluids before starting then again after 1 heat cycle

You could have removed the Hydraulic cylinders from the boom, leaving them hooked up to the Hydraulic lines and folded the boom and chained it. Then lifted and loaded it onto a trailer to haul it to the shop. Without power, that is the only way your going to fold that book without spray Hydraulic fluid all over the wet lands.

Research on how to release pressure on the boom you Should be able to do that then see if you can get the boom moved up and maybe drag the machine up and loaded on a trailer and taken to get it pressure washed. Then go from there.
