I lived in plumstead for years and I raised my children there, all university graduates.... your title is very wrong. There is problems every where in the country.... there are different people and cultures..., young men and ladies... trying to find their ways in life, that doesn’t make them bad or make the place slumstead!!!!

I grew up in plumstead corner at the top of church manorway right behind where that guy is standing next to the park at 3:00,between 1972 and 1988. I spent many an evening over that park,smoking,playing football, runouts etc. I even popped my cherry in what we called the shed, with the daughter from the off licence at the top of camrose street😂.plumstead,abbey wood and woolwich in general was a great place then,you genuinely never saw or heard of trouble except for the odd pub fight in woolwich😊.Even thamesmeade which had a bit of a reputaion back then wasnt a bad place,spent plenty of time around thamesmeade especially birchmere and southmere lakes, treble moats, and the canals and never had any trouble even with the few gypsy camps down sewell road,everyone I knew from back there has seemingly long moved away.

I lived in plumstead from 1958 to 1978, aged 6-26. It was ok then. No trouble to speak of, anywhere. Glad I moved away, looking at it now.

yea its a nice place to live id agree, this was made in 2007 tho so it was a bit worse back then. plus when i made this i was quite a bit younger and far more interested with 'ghetto' things so i think it leaked in to the documentary a little bit. thanks for your comment tho i hope you enjoy your new area as much as plumstead :)
