I'm just a novice but I'm pretty good at predicting future states of complicated issues. What the doc said about how far behind the science is & it's inevitable climb forward is something I said 4 years ago. We also used the same analogy, that of the tobacco industry. I really appreciated hearing that from a nueropsychologist. Our twisted society is going to fight tooth & nail to prevent porn from getting the bad reputation that it deserves!

Hi all. I didn't know where to post it, but, here it is : I stopped PMO and applied nofap one month ago after 18 years of daily PMO. I had ED / PIED since I was 17 (I'm 32 now) and yesterday night, I dared appoach two girls in a club. For the first time the last 15 years, I felt aroused down there because of a conversation, light physical contact with a real woman and knew I was able to continue "the game" in intimity with one of them two. So it works. Go for it, you're not a lost cause. Stay strong and if it's hard, focus on your goal : you're gonna have surprises on your journey. 😎

I am a recovering sex addict from Europe, 7 months in treatment now. I used most of your braintips and they helped a lot. Thank you so much. I was wondering if you could maybe start a new channel or add videos focusing on sex addiction, since it is similar but not the same as porn addiction. Quitting porn has been actually quite easy for me. It is still a challenge though to forget about fantasies, past sexual events with multiple partners. It took me about 5 months just to get my brain ready to stop masturbating. My main triggers were casual sex, chats, constant searching for new partners, age difference fetish.
@micm29863 жыл бұрын
Great interview here. I was curious if you would consider talking about the brain's healing when it comes to dreams and how the reboot process can bring back vivid dreams. Since quitting, the first few months brought back childhood-like dreams for me. It's incredible, I had a similar experience after I stopped smoking weed daily as well. Very intriguing to me, dreams returning to me is like a direct sign of brain healing/rewiring. Is there a neurochemical explaination for this?

Above all, I want to say that I respect you Doctor Trish Leigh you're doing a great thing by telling people the truth about pornography and making people being healthy There are three things I disagree with after watching this interview: #1 masturbation (read the book Why You Should Never Masturbate by David Baldwin, he is a doctor as well) #2 semen retention #3 hypersexuality - willingness to have sex, although it happens because of the screen/lifestyle I suppose. Moreover, if we just simplify and look at things honestly right into deep root cause then you'll see that hypersexuality is just an addiction that makes people think that they are "hypersexual" =they are just addicted like smokers, alcoholics. Healthy masturbation (29:20) - Masturbation isn't healthy, it is a harmful activity instead of healthy sex with a partner. *By saying keep masturbation in why not... you're confusing people I guess honestly... Masturbation is harmful*. There aren't two truths, only one. *You say - Why not? maybe because you don't know the dangerous consequences for the brain after masturbation, although maybe you know you're a doctor after all* Hypersexuality is an improper term, hypersexuality is just an addiction that one has formed in his body and mind. IMHO Semen Retention has good effects on human power especially in sports and overall stamina, but maybe not appropriate for having sexual relationships. It depends on who is using semen retention and what are the goals of that person *Don't get me wrong, I just want to know the truth and try to be open in discussion. I'd be really glad if you answer to me* Respectfully Kudrat, your old subscriber P.S. Thank you for all you've done

Doctor I suggest you look past science if you truly want to dig deeper into hyper sexuality. Look at eastern spiritual science of brahmcharya, (celibacy) for certain period , which is a absolute necessity, you saying too much sex is okay or masterbation occasionally is also okay breaks my heart. You need to know porn is one aspect 2nd one is masterbation. The power of semen is on another level. You need to be disciplined to do it. You will be god mark my words. Only few gets a success but those who do are the ones that rules the world and another. For couple of years just be celibate,

@ItsJust_Sins3 жыл бұрын
Yes. Alpha males are predominantly strong grounded leaders. Think of a pack of wolves. Betas are those who usually follow. Sigmas are a very unique mix between the two. We all as individuals have a mixture of Alpha Beta and Sigma within us. What we mostly need as men is Alpha male energy to get what is needed to be done done. As long as there is a group of animals there will always be an Alpha. In a household the father would NEED to be the Alpha in order to protect and provide for his family and territory.
@ItsJust_Sins3 жыл бұрын

@@TraitArts Wherever there is a group of living organisms collaborating for a common goal/interest or simply for the sake of survival there will always be a need for a leader (Alpha). The leader needs to be strong grounded and wise or else they will be unable to protect manage and provide for their group. We give these labels to every other animal but we do not want to give these labels to ourselves despite the fact we are animals as well. Only difference is our intelligence from other animals. As I said before we all have a mixture of Alpha (leader) Beta (follower or eased back) and Sigma (mixed) within us. If you spend most your time as a leader you're an Alpha.
