I’m in the same boat. Had a terrible porn habit around the time I attempted to kill myself. Plus I didn’t know the dark truth about porn and fapping, on top of sleeping around with a bunch of lost souls that were in the same dark and gloomy boat I was. Knowing now how powerful sex is and the godly purpose of it I’m disgusted with what I did in the past as well as the acts of porn. It’s good to know a lot of people are waking up to the bs that this world has us under. It’s time to fight back. God bless you all and may your journey to be free become a success.

Let's be honest when it comes to porn addiction. If it wasn't for the easy access I don't think it would be such a problem like it is today. When I was growing up you had to actually go to a porno theater or a porn shop to watch these videos. Or go to a video store and rent them or purchase them. It was much harder to obtain it,so not many people probably got hooked like they do today.

Dr. Trish I must say the hijacker in my brain hates me for being here. The hijacker in defense claims that those videos I’ve seen aren’t so bad as no one gets hurt and I’m making a big deal out of nothing-after all I found something I liked for once. Concluded by saying I’m the reason I’ll never get to enjoy something like this again and it’s all right there, all for free
@DrTrishLeigh3 жыл бұрын
Well, the hijacker is wrong. First of all people are getting hurt. You may not know that it is proven that porn is highly linked to human trafficking and that many of the women in the videos are coerced into being there and indeed are being physically, mentally, and emotionally hurt. Secondly, you are getting hurt. Science shows that it is creating shrinkage in your brain, under activity in your frontal lobe, and desensitization of the reward center in your brain. These brain changes are associated with an increase in anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and erectile dysfunction. Science also shows that it impairs your relationships inherently hurting people in your life. So, in fact, the hijacker is very very wrong. Don’t listen to him! You are stronger than that.

Delta fos ?
@ParadymShiftVegan3 жыл бұрын
@@entrepreneurshipnews3499 Yep, delta fos b is a molecular switch designed to assist us to figure out how to get back to behaviours that are healthy for us like food, exercise, and sex. Unfortunately, because pornography is far from a natural phenomenon, it turns what was once a beaten path towards PMO into a dirt road and then eventually through repeated behaviour turns what was once a beaten path into a giant 9-lane highway with blinking lights saying "GO THIS WAY!!!" The reason being is that it thinks pornography is the best thing ever for us (because from an evolutionary standpoint, unlimited, novel mates which are all eager to procreate with you is indeed the best thing that could happen to you.) The problem is, it's a lie which is not good for us, and we realize that quickly after relapsing, but this sadly does not stop our brain from believing we accomplished the task of procreating unlimited mates and thus uses delta fos b to keep strengthening that pathway. For more info check out Dr. Trish Leigh's video where she explains how the delta fos b switch works. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qZuTeZhog893qaM

AJ, if you want to cure your addiction, do a no-porn and no-fap challenge, RESET your day streak only if you search intentionally for porn or sexy pictures, people make the mistake to reset the streak only when you relapse. If some porn ads appears in front of your eyes and it wasn't your intention to see them, don't reset it, just cancel those ads. Trust me, having accepted that you have a problem and being able to own up to it tells me that you have already come a long way towards recovery. All of us are in the same boat, we are all on the same journey to free ourselves from p#rn. I am on day 18, I never thought I’d ever come this far. It helps me enormously to read all those comments of men who just like me are fighting this demon. Also Trish‘s videos help me a lot.

I think the good doctor might be right about a good deal here; I'm highly ambivalent about porn myself, with which I have struggled. It's a bit difficult because I have found my usage to be more episodic, where I will go through periods of little-to-no usage, rather forgetting about it or just disdaining it, and then into a period of heavier usage. The discussion does range very deeply very fast however, and there are interesting ground planks mentioned here in passing that need deeper ventilation. For example, it might be tautological to adduce, but porn only ensnares men in the first place because they are already enamored of making objects of women's bodies with their eyes. It may intensify this tendency and be destructive, or it may express it more intensely; I am not quite sure which. Camille Paglia would hold porn is a fully natural expression of human sexuality. Clearly men are highly visually stimulated by looking at women's bodies, and I would imagine this pre-dates porn lol and is (to some extent) an ineradicable part of the male animal. Perhaps it is more precisely put that men, once entering into deeper relation to women, begin (if they choose to rise above being merely animals) to invest their relations with a spiritual dimension, and grow past pure limerence of the early stages into emotional rapport and ethical commitment as well. People who have been traumatized or who face a long arc on their recovery from that or something similar, precluding realistic chances at dating (at least someone they find attractive) may dither about the singular toxicity of porn. Perhaps it's a question of moderation, balance, I'm not sure. Certainly it might be held that an orgasm is a singularly unitive moment in the brain, which ties together an enormous number of brain cells in a dopamine cascade effect, and it does not exactly feel unhealthy for body/brain health to experience these with some frequency -- even when single. (Also fascinating is whether porn or men paying prostitutes is preferable; I would generally think the former, if that is the choice.) There is the question of how the female actors are treated, though an exhibitionistic tendency to human sexuality cannot either be denied. At any rate there are men who appear to not to want to get evermore extreme, but to simply fantasize to a common tableaux of beauty or fantasies in a world that often harshly rank-orders male-female interactions in strict Darwinian terms, rendering many in-person attempts exceedingly hard. I will grant the far more satisfying life is to get out there and live. And that porn perhaps in most cases is overused and becomes toxic and destructive. But I question whether it has more innocent / intermittent uses. Certainly the interesting question of couples who use it together inheres, though that may be a rare edge case compared to sneaky male solitary use. At the very least, I will have to watch some other videos on this channel here to see what I think. It should finally be again pointed out that Paglia has a point that at some moment on the continuum art and pornography meet. By this I don't think she meant to equate the Venus de Milo with Hustler magazine, but rather to point out that the artist's eye is often rapacious with lust. Doting figures well executed in stone or paint constituted in some ways the pornography of pre-photographic days. The human mind / eye is preoccupied with beauty, and derivatively with beautiful bodies, to some extent. The degree to which porn degrades this probably depends upon the type. I will grant there is vile vile filth out there and I don't feel entirely comfortable with Paglia's thesis. On the other hand a 13-year-old looking at a lingerie catalog seems fairly normal, but I will grant the inducement to more extrema is ever a danger. There is a callousness in showing too much to the very young, and a coarsening of our culture by some things being viewed by anyone. There may be a moral question about many depictions that the relativists simply neglect...
