I’m a field service engineer so I travel a lot. I spent most of my life in Oregon, and love fishing with the Dockside Charter crew! I’m currently in Arizona but considering a move back to the North West. My first order of business would be to go fishing with Dockside for some freezer supply! I’ve still gone back in September to silver salmon fish with these guys. Limits every time! Dockside Charters is top notch! Bring cash for a solid tip and getting your catch properly filleted. Maybe cash for your crab cleaned and boiled if you add crab. You should add crabbing,

I watched the show. I have some experience in this field but out of Yakutat Alaska myself. It looks like everyone was having fun and boxing nice fish. A little ice in with the fish would be an improvement if possible that’s the only thing noticed 🌊

I’ve been out with Dockside so many times but never for halibut. 600-900 ft! Whew that’s some arm burning work there! So far, I head up to Seward for halibut. I’m not sure if my military wrecked right shoulder could do 6 hrs of 600-900 ft reeling?

It is the Surfrider, a 50ft Delta Marine. Repowered a month ago, with twin Cummins Engines. 500 horse power each. You will get to Halibut grounds faster than any boat in the fleet. Very comfortable and clean. Capt. Tyler and crew are incredible. Contact Dockside Charters in Depoe Bay, Oregon. Thanks for watching, hope to see ya soon!

Beat them in the last section of tail meat. It breaks up the nerve bundle and keeps them from kicking. And it makes for a safer bleed out

@@PNWCOASTFISHING yeah those things are more dangerous than they look. I hooked a 39 inch a week ago and got my finger caught on the treble hook still in the fish. Yanked my hand so fast before it could start flopping and take my finger with it. Yeah, bonk the snot out of them!!!

I'm sorry but this title is clickbait and nothing more. I've been in Norway and cought halibuts 4 times bigger and stronger. And these electric reels... where is fun in it. Film is nice and i know it's a comercial, it's just that title thats bothers me.

Why is epic and electric reels in the same vid???????? If you are unable to fight your fish then go to the gym....You are not fishing deep and you are not catching big fish. Most epic thing i saw in this vid was a deacent pair of sunnies....
@PNWCOASTFISHING6 ай бұрын
Electric reels are more efficient, we want everybody to go home with fish. You spend less time reeling in (1k of line sometimes) to set up a drift. But I understand where you are coming from.
@johnnyrotten61916 ай бұрын
Okay, I suppose that was "epic", by Oregon standards. Don't get me wrong.....being stuck down here in Virginia, I'd jump at the opportunity for a successful halibut trip like that.....but I think I'll stick with Alaska. Just haven't made up my mind if I'm taking the "kids" to Juneau, Seward or Homer. Besides, I want them to see Alaska before it's paved over, covered in condos and politically destroyed by liberals lost in their fantasies. For now, anyway, fishing still is, truly epic up in Alaska...
