This kind of behaviour should be completely normal in every relationship. When I read comments like this I think is honestly sad because if his behaviour is worthy of notice (it should be), it means that is something considered out of normal/extraordinary when it should be normal for everyone. I guess that is just wishful thinking right now.

Jenna, you should plant some ginger. Buy one from the store, the freshest piece possible and let it sprout. Bury it in the dirt, let it grow (it'll grow leaves above the dirt, and the rhizome below) for about a year and then take it out. You'll end up with a relatively large piece of ginger. It's so satisfying! And if you're lucky, you'll see the ginger plant flower, it's unexpectedly beautiful! And once you feel more comfortable in your phyto-endeavors, plant some milkweed outside! It'll attract monarch butterflies and they'll lay eggs all over the plant, leaving lots of caterpillars behind!

I enjoyed this so much. My mum has a huge garden and also so many plants in her house. She walks around with coffee and takes care of them. The best time is during the summer where she comes out in the evening and spends there time till it's completely dark. She hates being too hot as well :-) *It's a form of meditation.* I enjoyed repotting our huge Monstera plants with my partner. Having the feeling we take care together about something what's a stress relief for us both. I also have various botany classes and most of the plants are better without exaggerated care, as you said. All succesfull growers, especially succulent growers, don't really take that much care about their plants. They just let them grow, sometimes help them or direct them in some way. There is even a way of agriculture that works like that. Just amazing. Thanks again, it was great hour listening to you both speaking about this topic. *Note: be sure to water you plants with water that was chilled/left to stand for some time.* It's also interesting that most people I know have similar path of taking care of something: as kids we want to have a pet - a dog, cat, hamster... It's alive, entertaining. But with time we shift ourselves more towards plants. They are less demanding and time consuming.

Jenna is the reason I own plants at all. I never understood the appeal of spending so much time and energy caring for something that just sits there like decoration until I watched Jenna's plant tour and saw how excited she was about their appearances and how much life they bring to a space. I started out with a catnip plant and some dwarf zebra grass for my cats to nibble on and now I own around 20 plants (all safe for cats because no matter where I put them they find a way to chomp on them). they're also a great way to connect with people - I have autism and find it difficult to have conversations with people I don't know well, but I've found that people with plants love talking about their plants and hearing about other people's plants. so thank you Jenna - my cats are happier and I love how green my space is ❤ ps Jenna said she loves hoyas and I do have one hoya but my personal favorite are sedums. they're cat-safe, don't require a ton of watering, and tolerate a range of temperatures, which is great when you live in new england. Julien's burro's-tail is a sedum (sedum morganianum)! mine is smaller than Julien's but I can see why he likes it so much

I’ve been a plant lady for about a year now and I‘ve reached the point where I can keep a mimosa alive (which seemed impossible to me the first time I bought one, which unfortunately died 3 days after I got it). So glad you‘re a plant lady too, Jenna. It‘s so much fun!

I think i speak for thousands when i say do more updates or hauls or 'shop plants with me' videos omgggg i wish youd upload more so we can get both plant videos and the regularly scheduled vids xD Also if your pothos was marbled with ALOT of white theb it needed alot of light. Pothos only gain solar energy via the green parts of the leaf never the white. Sometimes if its more green than white they will accumulate to the low light and the color will bleed out the white completely as to attempt to get more light for the shadowed room. .... so yeah that coulda been it

Just finished listening to this podcast and I have never heard anything more ME in my life 😂 recently bought my first home with my bf of 9 years, have now lived there for just over a year and I have 8 wonderful plant babies in my lounge room that I am loving looking after/learning about (can’t fit anymore until I can furnish/renovate the gaming room/kitchen haha then I’m sure they will be full of plants too) I have seriously gone on the same journey as you, Jenna and it’s the best thing ever!! Love a 27yr old lady living her best plant and dog mum life 😂 I can’t WAIT for a plant tour one day!!

i lived in the Philippines for from birth til i was 14 (19 now), and i never really realized how beautiful all of the plants in my family home’s garden is. I had a 10x5 section and i grew plants from seeds or marcotting. The colors purple, yellow, orange, pink, red, blue, and green leaves were just normal to me. I moved to LA and it is so..... brown. lol. Jenna reminded me how breath-taking my tropical garden is. I almost forgot about it because of how dead California valleys are. Love this video, Jenna! I really hope you get a Jasminum Sambac or Sampaguita plant. the smell of their flowers are A M A Z I N G.

Use your finger to feel 2 inches into the soil if it feels dry water then. Otherwise, dont be too eager to water unless it's a plant that specifically needs a lot. Make sure the soil drains well with perlite and peat moss.

Yay, Go Jenna! I've actually just starting being into plants myself in the last half year. All of my life I have thought, that I couldn't take care of plants, but now I have 15 different types already and they're thriving ^^ So I can really relate to your journey! I've been there and I am there myself! I listened to your podcast and got so excited about getting more plants, that I actually went straight to my nearest plant store right after (I got a begonia maculata and a senecio rowleyanus! -amazing name by the way)! Thank you for always just having fun and doing what you love, it is contagious !

Jenna! i took a plant ID class last semester in college and we had a textbook listing all the native plants for the midwest (where i live) you should look up a textbook that has californias native plants. it would be really helpful and show the genus and species and family and charactetistics and how to care for it! you should find one thats specific for house plants!

I don't know what happened. But when i turned 30 plants became like a direct need for me. I now live in a small jungle and I LOVE IT. I recently found a 5 foot Peace Lily for my house and its been amazing to have. My first experience with plants didn't go well. I fell in love with the wandering jew plant. Some versions of them have fatter dark purple leaves with tiny pink buds. To this day its my favorite plant. I however have now killed so many of them i have banned my self from buying them. Silver satin pothos have become one of my favorite plants. My Monstera is my pride and joy. Love the new journey you are on!!!!

I've always loved plants, before I was 8 aloe became the very first plant I fell in love with. I had some cacti here and there, grew peppers for a few summers. When this podcast and then Jenna's plant tour came out I knew I was going to get plants as soon as I could. 2020 hit and I got my first job in May. I think I had about 10 plants by the end of the month. Flash forward to now- I have over 550 plants, 2 humidifiers, 4 floor shelves, 2 floating shelves, 9 grow lights and a grow tent in my little bedroom. Jenna was not joking that plant collecting can get out of hand very quickly.
