I have to admit that I'm not an acupuncture student, but I watch all of your videos. I use the knowledge for myself (acupressure and cupping), and to discuss things with my acupuncturist. I can communicate in more detail thanks to these videos and in turn, my acupuncture treatment has been more effective since I can have deeper discussions of my ailments and treatment. So, thank you!

Wow! These videos are such GEMS for not only reviewing the points themselves, but also channel and organ theories / foundations. Can't imaging how much time and effort you must have put into creating all the videos, handouts, quizzes, etc... THANK YOU!! 🙏 p.s. I'm writing my boards at the end of the year, so am definitely looking forward to any updates to this fantastic review series ;)

According to the Ling Shu Liver 4 is Below the Ankle crease. in my Experience as a Kiiko Acupuncturist 1 Cun under the ankle crease is the active point. it releases Pressure pain on Stomach 30 . it also can release left Side Stomach 26/27 pressure pain with Lung 5 all left side. TCM almost Ignores Liver 4. as if it doesn't Exist . sad.. very good point. I agree with you Abt Liver 3. being over used. it is a powerful point tho. I also agree abt Liver 5. I use it all the time. but we take it a tad higher then you guys do. the 2nd bone hole typical. it better Moxy point. but I do needle it superficial up with the channel. it releases Pressure pain all over in women who have had endometriosis

The lower back pain relationship could also have to do with the muscle origin/insertions and tendons (sinews) in the pelvis - psoas group etc... Thanks for the lecture.

liver 4 will release the Psoas same side. or Stomach 30 Pressure pain. the Point names Liver 4 and stomach 30 have similar point names. I take liver 4 a bit lower the TCM. Abt 1 Cun under the ankle crease. it's the active point. it will release the Psoas

Hi Subhashini. That's the plan. I'm going to take the next few weeks to re-record some videos in the herb review course, but after that I'm going to focus on going through all the channels. I'll probably re-record LI and ST, but then start on the others. It will probably take some time though, especially as I make handouts, drawings, and tests to go with each one. Thanks for being patient!

Just so you know, I havent been able to meditate or when i have i cant no longer go deeper, because of a horrible itching Liver 6 gives me. So it's really important, and please note it has to do with falling in to a deeper relaxation. The itching is unbearable and only way to stop it is to wake up and it still goes on for like 5 more minutes until it goes away , also it is felt less in LV 7-9

Hi Nicolas, regarding Liv1. Swelling and pain of genitals. Do you think the point could be used for postpartum ladies as well? Just not sure of this kind of swelling and pain would be the same. thing
@tcmstudy
@tcmstudy Жыл бұрын
Maybe? Since it's a Jing-Well point, I would think of using it for excess conditions, like excess cold causing Shan disorder, or excess heat causing bleeding. Or Deadman says, "as the jing-well point is especially suited to urgent conditions with acute and sudden pain." So I'm not sure if that would apply with postpartum swelling or not (I've never really treated that). But lots of people use points for different purposed depending on their style, so I'm not sure.
