Here's a fun idea: try an item nuzlocke, where if a pokemon dies holding an item, you must release the pokemon while the item is still being held by them, removing the item from existence too. Pokemon dies holding leftovers or rocky helmet, too bad you can't use those anymore. And if a pokemon dies in a battle where it had oran or sitrus berries at the start of the battle, you can't use those berries throughout the remainder of the playthrough.

So funny thing I believe The Groke was guaranteed to outspeed, since it was level 55 being transformed, vs a lv 52 Hydreigon. At least, I believe that’s how level changes with Ditto works.
