Glarses, I need your guidance. I'm Team Tactile at heart, but lubed and filmed Gateron Black Ink V2s swooped in to become my current favorite switch, and then I also spring swapped and lubed some Durock POM Linears and they're also good. I feel l may be straying from the Tactile path.

I really wanted to like these switches, but I just can't. Instead of saying the generic commentary of "they suck", my main gripe was the upstroke that it felt like it was a "stuck" feeling. Lubed with 205g0 and lube bagged the springs and tried another batch (this time with lighter lube--I like to lube my switches a tad bit more so wanted to see if they respond better with lighter lube) and it was the same thing. Apparently other folks had the same experience I had. They will still go on a Penguin theme board i'm going for with the Adelie, Penguin Switches, with Penguin Artisans (still have halfway to go) but in short not my favorite of the tactile group. I hope there will be other revisions on it because.. it's penguins... and aesthetically they look nice if you're going for a frost theme.

Seeing this review, just made me wonder, if you have ever tried the lubed TTC tea switches. I think they were aming for a topre feeling when designing the switch. I personally find them very satisfying on my Drop Alt High Profile. it looks like you are a big fan of the ID80 which is frame mount too [correct me if I am wrong]. In short, I think you will like the TTC tea switches on ID80 when lubed (with their weird switch dampening methods.) :)

Bought 10 to try. Its tactility is similar to MX Brown but sharper, and it's tactile bump is between light and medium. Definitely better than MX Brown, though not much better. It would be perfect for me if it has a bigger tactile bump. It is already using a 19mm long string, so there is not much you can do to improve its tactility.

When I first got into Mechanicals. I was into the clicky's but quickly got annoyed. My manager hated it when I was typing during calls. LOL Then I when full thock. I tried many switches. The last batch where some Gateron Yellow Linear Switches. Lubed, stem change to 63.5, and while they felt great, the typing experience wasnt for me. I realized more and more, I need that bump to type comfortably. Recently, I picked up dk Saru Tactile Switches, and boy are these excellent. I lubed them lightly, and they feel terrific. I think I have found my happy medium. I am going to stick with Tactiles from now on. I really tried several linears, but not my cup of tea.

I'm still new to all this, but I think of myself as a tactile guy. I thought I'd love clicky before I got started, didn't really, and went immediately to tactile. since I skipped over linear, I recently ordered a couple of Oil Kings to test (among maybe one or two other linears, and a bunch of tactiles). I loved the sound of the Oil Kings, and the smoothness, but I found I _really_ miss the bump. so, this lighter weight lube approach might be the solution for me.

Better than a GLORIOUS PANDA? Hmm. 1) glorious pandas hit the spot for me, holy ones are harder to come by and more expensive, I can live with the glorious... 2) I really like the tactility of the panda switches... I am very curious if these are better than that. I actually use gateron speed coppers, I am a very light typer so I miss keys on a heavier switch, even fairly light keypresses on light linear switches don't always register, but the coppers force me to feel the bump which is fairly easy to actuate and 1mm in, but I just can't shake the pandas, have them on my numpad, f keys, esc and shift as well. I just love that chonky clonk...
