It is worded in such a slanted way as to illicit a certain answer from the respondents. I know it doesn't matter much in this context, but creating good poll questions is sometimes quite hard to do, and people should be on the lookout (in general) for these types of leading questions on polls because it can invalidate the results.

There’s for sure a lot of risk! A upcoming local brick and mortar (currently running online) shared something online regarding an issue they had with terastal festival. they had a 30k terastal festival order canceled from a supplier in japan because the supplier got another bid for more as boxes where going up in value (this is an assumption) not sure how factual, but I don’t doubt it. The shop thankfully had another supplier and had to pay a bit more for the reorder and they kept their word on keeping the original sale price to their customers. I know they lost $$ - they mentioned this experience almost set them back from being able to open up their store front.

Listen, I’m kicking around the idea of starting a small business. Keep your distributors to yourself. Anyone who’s asking you for a distributor, let alone a list, won’t make it in the business anyway. If they can’t put in the effort and the risk on their own, they will never survive. Not only that, but you put your own name and business at risk. If these random people you don’t know go and fuck over one of your distributors, they will be looking at you for referring them. I dont think it's wrong for anyone to ask an established person or business for help, especially on on another supplier But I think it's more about creating problems between you and the supplier, not an actual handout like the 200 pikachu lol

I think you’d need to be in a position to understand that handing out a supplier costs a lot more than $200… could cost as much as $100K or more. For example, my distro only had 10,000 boxes of Terastal day one. I got 2000 and I’m a VIP with him… if I told everyone who I used they would take a significant chunk of that 2000 over time. Until product is infinite, a supplier is gold…. I’ve offered to sell the information jokingly to people but no one’s bit lol

The problem I reference between you and the supplier in my first comment is the risk of the new buyer, competing over supply, etc - my only point is that it isn't cringe af like asking someone to literally undercut their own profit for the 200 pikachu With the supplier they, and understandably so, want to avoid bad sellers with looking at their feedback which I think it's fair to understand and acknowledge. Like We all appreciate seller feedback on every platform we shop on for the most part so that's why to me, that is completely understandable and isn't like "oh the audacity to ask me who's trustworthy, you need to lose money like I did and have the problems I did back in my day!!" That being said, you don't owe anyone anything and you providing suppliers to new businesses is directly hurting you/creating competition haha - I think that's the strongest point that the question and concept itself is completely fine imo, it's just asking YOU is kind of tone deaf on their part without understanding the impact it has on you - vs the 200 pikachu is literally asking for free money lol

Im one of the people who voted no, and I'll say why, and hear me out because I also see your majority point of view here. In my eyes(my opinion) you can see this and go 3 ways, 1st one is I can relate to the kid, I have 3 of em myself now, and come from a family of 9 kids, and grew up fairly poor. The dad is a scammer and wants to buy something for under market and making up a shitty sob story. 3 Scalpers are making it impossible for regular folk to get any product by not leaving any freaking Surging sparks for anyone at Tartget/walmart or big retail, making the market skyrocket even more than it already is, shit even LGS cant get enough stock unless they are spending 100k in the last 6 months on just pokemon and even some who did spend that much only got like 6 cases max, its becoming super lucrative to want to be a pokemon collector and basically another gambling addiction rather than a collectible card game. Whichever way it is I think at the end of the day As a person who comes from struggle, and has seen the faces of many kids who want to have something, calling it sus is one thing but saying its full out cringe when u don't know the situation makes me sad ngl. Be careful buying for this guy if you aren’t buying a complete case. I purchased a case of surging sparks, perfect. No issues. However, I then purchased a single booster box and a terapagos (both pre order) and this booster box was RESEALED! The packs were all shuffled around. The plastic was loose on the box. Very sus. The first case I got was perfect. No issues. The terapagos was good. But the single booster box was definitely tampered with. Please use caution when purchasing stuff that’s not a sealed case
