Subscribed. My son got me here. He is 18 months into his Pokémon obsession. I quickly recognized the $$ involved and thus began our educational journey. So far, he has learned organizational & financial lessons most 11 year olds have not, and many will never. Most important to me, he is seeking out knowledge for himself, independent of my influence. For me, it's like learning a new language with cool pictures while bonding with mah boy. We are now investing and holding sealed now. He has a business plan. YT channel ripping and shopping deals for subs and fanbase (this phase will cost me). Transition to live rip n ship. Reinvest into webstore.... How can not support that?!?! Anyway, I dig your content and your blunt approach. Keep up the good work. Thanks

Thanks for this one! Just starting out. Finally posting on my KZbin and all! I needed to hear a lot of this before the start of the year. I am terrified but I am in the throws of it now. Thanks for the guidance, Brian. My family and I will forever be grateful for the work you’ve done! I’ll be on your FYP soon! Gotta respect the algo!!!

Best advice on credit cards! Going into debt to invest is so bad - the cc interest rate will almost always trump any gains you make.

I do this on the side now as a limited company and can’t thank you enough for sharing your knowledge. It’s the most fun I’ve had in a while, stressful but really enjoyable. I have no clue what I’m doing but somehow it’s working well, every week/month my stock is almost doubling and I’ve put very little of my own money into it, just reinvesting all my profit. Appreciate you so much, hearing you talk about your experience with this has really helped to change my mindset for the better!

Thank you for all the motivation! I started my Pokemon seller journey about 3 months ago after finding an old box of cards and trying to sell them on eBay while watching your videos for advice. I can happily say I have done over 300 orders now with fantastic reviews! :) However I am mainly selling single's and single booster packs. I wish I had the capital and connections to get some cases at good prices. Keep up the good work Brian!

Broski, this is lowky the best video I've seen this year! Thank you so much for sharing all of this with us, you did not have to. I offer you a piece of advise as a viewer: try speeding up your videos like 1.1x or something small like that. I find myself often doing this but it would be an interesting experiment to see if it boosts retention.

Or watch it in 2x like a man with adhd doing 3 things at once (me), consume the knowledge, and fart it out into the world
@KrumovBobbyАй бұрын
@@ryanaussi1776 my point, which apperantly went way over your adhd head (or you're just being sarcastic over a comment which never works), was that not everyone knows about this feature. 2x is too much but I often find myself going 1.1x or 1.2x even at my job when someone sends me a video. People often talk slowly and on YT and social media in general, faster is better. Or at least that's the theory. That's why I used the word 'experiment'.

When you are creating a relationship with a supplier, take them on your journey of growth and sell the story. Great suppliers are an assest and not something to be squeezed for margins. Think relationships at all times with business

Amazing insight as always, Brian! When we started working with Japan, the anxiety of “is this a real person?” “are we going to lose thousands of dollars?” hit really hard. But going through that is necessary to build a relationship, and after going through that and building a genuine relationship with someone in Japan, you don’t want to ever put that at risk. Excellent work growing so much this year, you’ve changed our lives and we appreciate you!

I needed this video, it reminded me that I gotta get my debt covered first before I start this investment journey. And now that I got a job again, I need to buckle down and snip these credit and medical debts before investing in the next set of cards. Hopefully I do it before 156 set releases.

Lots to extract from the video but your first take is spot on. Over in the UK we like to call it eating smashed avocado on toast 😂. Everyone wants to eat out breakfast lunch and dinner, newest mobile phone, newest BMW, gamble every weekend on racing rovers F.C beating super nobodies 10-0. They should be investing it back into the money machine but they never will 👎🏻

Yeah, following the crowd I think is a huge one that applies to everything in this industry and something I appreciate hearing you talk about. In the case of Paradox Rift, I think when someone who has been successful in addressing how when certain sets are undervalued we should look at this product says maybe it's time to buy in, you're not following the crowd if you do research, you find you agree with him and buy it around the same price he did at. And although there's a world, he could have been wrong, you took your chances and hopefully you did your research but being at the front of the line really can pay off.

In college and working in the corporate world for a few years now, you definitely realize most people in this world are followers not leaders. It's so easy to never think for yourself when everyone else is doing the "popular" thing and it's something I've been trying to work on as well. Just a small win for me but I preordered a case of the Traditional Chinese 5th anniversary set at the beginning of November when no one was talking about it because I thought it was a cool product with a great promo. Fast forward to today and it's more than doubled in market value. If you know you're a smart person with good decision making skills - trust your gut! Like you said, you can't be a follower and expect to be any more than average.

The amount of time that you spend talking about how much money you make is not the flex that you think it is. It’s actually super cringe. Credibility comes from saying things that are true not from just telling people that you have money.

When a creator is talking about how to make money, talking about how much money they made is logical. I don’t do credibility checks on videos where I’m just talking Pokémon exclusively-

In other words, he doesn't give a sh*t. His primary concern is his income, and he is entirely egoistic when it comes to sharing the names or info of his contacts. The reason? He fears competition. He justifies saying that “it was my effort”, but this is a lie and just scarcity, he is aware that sharing his contacts could lead to losing clients, especially if others have money to invest.
