I use to be a fan of Tamashii when she was actively trying to make a good youtube channel doing a wide variation of content. Sadly she long sense burnt her channel to the ground and went back to making 100% pokemon videos. I am more disappointed in her then anything else. Long sense moved on.

Adrian Fahrenheit Her username is something she has used since she was a kid. She's not extremely into anime or Japan anymore but that's the name she became known with so she keeps using it. You don't need to subscribe to her or anyone else if it's not your cup of tea. Nobody's gonna care or get angry so there's no need to tell people either. I'm pretty sure hundreds of people have already commented about her mic already. I agree, it's terrible but I could hear her just fine.

Kaptain Kappa Dude, this theory is really old and has no evidence. Yes, Butterfree and Venonat look kinda similar, but that's because they were drawn by the same person and are both insects so they share insect traits (radar eyes, fangs, etc). Butterfree is deliberately introduced early in the game because it is a very easy to understand introduction to the concept of evolution since it has a real life counterpart in the metamorphosis of a caterpillar to a butterfree. It makes infinitely more sense that Caterpie -> Metapod -> Butterfree as is what happens in the game. "But Caterpie doesn't look at all like Butterfree" that's the point. Butterfree is supposed to be this beautiful, magnificent pokemon which contrasts Caterpie's weak demeanor. Look at Venonat, it has aboslutely no connection at all to a butterfly.

John Smith you bring up decent points, though nothing that invalidates the theory as you seem to think, also "Look at Venonat, it has absolutely no connection at all to a butterfly." this is true, however butterflies dont exist in the pokemon world, however Butterfree(s?) do and venonat, as the video stated, shares many traits with Butterfree, and if what you say is right and they look similar because they were drawn by the same person, then one of two things is true 1. he either thought, or was told that they were going to be different life stages of the same creature, meaning venonat would evolve into butterfree 2. hes a super unprofessional idiot, only an idiot would make two completely different species look that similar, that would be like if in a fantasy setting dwarves and orcs were both short and both had green skin i personally think the first one is the correct one

John Smith Even moths have really beautiful caterpillars. Doesn't mean they're going to be pretty when they finally become moths. Point is, the eyes do not match up at all. I don't mind how the Pokemon evolve. Both moths and butterflies both go through metamorphosis. And both fall under the order "Lepidoptera", so they belong to the same order.

Kaptain Kappa Did you not catch my explanation? Caterpillar to butterfree is the most iconic metamorphosis in the entire world and Caterpie -> Butterfree exemplifies this. So it's not about whether butterflies exist in the pokemon world or not(which they do btw), it's about the design process. Also, let me restate that fact about the artist. Ken Sugimori has designed almost all pokemon, every artist has a particular style. Of course, he's going to have repeated features in his characters, just look at how many pokemon have similar eyes. And considering they're both bug types makes it even more logical. He's not at all an unprofessional idiot for this, he had to draw 151 characters for gods sake! Just take a look at some other artists who've had to draw countless characters within a series, a good example would be the artist of Dragon Ball, those characters all share very major traits. Another point of criticism is that most people focus on Venonat -> Butterfree in this theory and go nuts over it, on the other hand Caterpie -> Metapod -> Venonat has such a great disconnect at the end it's laugable. Also, let me fall back on the evidence of this theory, which is literally only this: they share a few traits. Let's make a few other theories! Luvdisc totally was meant to evolve into Alomamola. Look at the shapes, types and color pallette. Or how about Caterpie and Yanma? It's really easy to say stuff like that, it's just that this particular theory has gotten so popular.

To everyone in this little comment chain that wants to know a reason to dislike Tamashii. It's not because she's a girl (That's sexist and wrong), it's not because she's a "Weeaboo" (Because that's just stupid), and it's not because she's got a bad personality (Which I wouldn't personally know, but I'm sure she doesn't). It's because she doesn't fact check a lot of the stuff she posts in her OWN videos, she doesn't speak clearly, she mispronounces words (Originally just Japanese and Pokemon names but she mispronounced "Neo" in this video), and she seems to have very little interest in the content of at LEAST this video. I WAS subbed to her a couple years ago, but after doing some checking of my own on some of her "Facts" and finding they were mostly just here-say or rumors and had no substantial backing to them, I started getting annoyed and doing checks on EVERY one of her fact videos. Some of them were true, but more of them were not. Couple that with her constant butchering of the English language (And of Pokemon names which aren't TECHNICALLY English) made me dislike her.

phones961O2 Sorry for the late reply, I'll give an example of her butchering an English word... She pronounced Neo wrong in this video. It's pronounced "Knee-Oh" and she said "Nay-Oh". If you watch some of her videos and listen really closely, you'll hear her botch a BUNCH of other words.

The audio quality is probably the worst I've ever heard on this channel, and it almost sounds like all of this was done on the first take the first time she was reading down the script... She reads the lines the same way a 3rd grader would read aloud in class. Did she record this with a DS microphone in a half-bathroom? Or maybe she used the standard XBox headset while covering her face with a pillow?
