This video really emphasises how much easier it is shiny hunting in scarlet and violet. We haven't found a single shiny in Shield (apart from raid events) and we have several boxes full in S/V. Loving the shiny reactions, the sheer Britishness of an "Oh, there's a shiny." 😂 Nice to give Ariados some love too.

@PS_Travels the difference is night and day isn’t it 🤯 Not everyone likes the inconsistency between games for how easy or difficult shiny hunting is, but I really appreciate being able to dip into an easier experience when I’m having trouble in a certain game, and vice versa! Lmao I’m glad you appreciate the reactions, and I think my calm (ish) responses in this video really backs up how easy it can be to find shinies in this game - Ducklett in particular I remember being very calm about 😂 I always love to give the Johto lot some love, someone has to! 🥳 Thanks so much for the support as always, you guys are awesome!

@ there are a few yeah and the ones we have are really good! Masuda method is the one people tend to gravitate towards, pretty standard and the same as it is in other games! Hatching eggs from Pokemon of different countries gives odds of 1/600 ish 🥳 Brilliant Aura is unique to these games and it’s what I did for the Combee - the more of a species you knock out or capture gives you better and better shiny odds, but only for the Pokemon you see in the overworld that have a yellow mist surrounding them. That yellow mist is called ‘brilliant aura’ and it can give odds as good as 1/600 ish! They don’t spawn all that often but it’s much faster than full odds 😅 Only really works with Pokemon of a high enough spawn rate though, would recommend masuda otherwise. Dynamax Adventures is the final one to my knowledge and is included in the Crown Tundra DLC only - it involves battling Pokemon in raids to reach a legendary Pokemon (4 battles per adventure) with the odds for all Pokemon caught being a flat 1/300 without the shiny charm, or 1/100 with the charm 🤯 Only one legendary catch per species is allowed on a save file so if you want to hunt them, you have to not catch them at the end of an adventure 😊 This one is done with rental Pokemon so you can actually do this virtually at the beginning of a new save file - it’s pretty insane!

scarlet and violet should've gotten the hate sword and shield got, the open world concept is cool but the execution, animation, and lack of progressive leveling killed it for me

I LOVE SwSh but I must admit, I think SV does have some redeeming qualities - don’t get me wrong, SwSh didn’t deserve the hate it got and I definitely agree that SV is worse than it in some aspects, but I think Paldea’s story & characters are MILES better than anything Galar had to offer, and that does make a huge difference! I think combined they are practically the perfect game, but they both have severe flaws in their current state 😭

Highly possible! I’m currently facing the same thing in SwSh - of the 8 shinies I’ve found so far, 6 have been female 😅 I think it’s a fun streak!
