I’ve posted this in a few places but These are basically my thoughts on the situation. Okay so couple things: 1) it is irrelevant that you asked permission prior. None of these guys that play regularly on the stream and care about their image are going to reject your gimmick and risk appearing like a sore loser or a wussy by not taking a card. And I think you know that and you preyed on it. Furthermore, it’s pretty apparent you’re the fish at the table, which you basically self-admitted in the hand, so you think the regulars are gonna say something that makes you feel unwelcome? No. They want you there so when you ask if you can do something weird, they’re going to oblige so you stay. They’re probably all mad that Eric said those things to you because it likely deters you from coming back. He said what everyone was thinking but they want your money so they didn’t say a word. As you pointed out, Eric is loaded and doesn’t care about the money- he cares about the situation and he responded. 2) if you want to do something like this, I think it’s lame but to each his own but you gotta be ready for someone to throw it back in your face. You’re doing something that is way outside the norm in this game and you HAVE to know it’s not going to be received well by 100% of the participants, …right ? You don’t REALLY believe everyone is going to think this is funny right ? So when someone reacts negatively to this you should expect heat and take it like you’re trying to dish out. 3) Your small business owner claim is just wild sir. This is where it’s obvious you don’t understand what you did. For some reason you believe or think others believe that money is determining factor of whether or not it’s appropriate to be an asshole. Telling Eric that he owns multiple casinos so this shouldn’t bother him is just asinine. Just because he’s rich and you’re not doesn’t make it okay for you to be an ass (I’m not saying you are but from his subjective state you are and you fail to see this point) 4) your input of these cards in the game is a HUGE tell and it’s why you got stacked. You’re literally playing a certain way in hopes of giving out a card. The presence of those cards is dictating your play rather than the right way to play. You called off half your stack preflop with 98. That’s definitely an AA cracker but you left yourself no equity to actually play the hand after that. The flop is either an all-in or fold. Why would you do that? Same thing with QQ hand. Your all-in made no sense. Your hand is only a bluff catcher and you don’t have enough in your stack to even rep a big hand to get someone to fold. Eric prolly calls you with KK there or any weak Ace because you were only all in for 100K more into a 500K pot. He’s definitely calling but you outplayed yourself because you want so badly to needle. People play thousands of hands, read books, or watch videos to strengthen their poker game- you had needle cards made. Sorry man but you’re way out of line and If you don’t see that, you’re in way over your head. You complained he wasn’t being a good sport and you literally are taunting people when you SUCK OUT. Lol. Cmon man. Wish you all the best in your business, etc but you really gotta wake up to how wrong you are. Somewhere along the line someone taught you that money is everything and you need to reconsider that philosophy- money or lack thereof does not grant or restrict your right to be an ass.

Eric is a unique character. It's challenging to balance things in that environment such that he's hard not to like in the end. He made few if any enemies when he gave Phil Hellmuth a long overdue verbal ass-kicking in their match, then managed to get a smile from the sometimes- surly Phil Ivey while relieving him of a few Sheckles. In this case he gave batman his due, preempting criticism by declaring that he was offended on behalf of the way Batman treated Ben; a detail that meant the difference between making himself the villain possibly verses a stranger that shows up just in time to defend the honor of a damsel in distress.

Asking permission for giving a card is such a dick move because it puts the loser of the hand in a no-win situation. If they say no, it makes them look like they are a poor sport or they cannot take a joke even though most people are not in a joking mood when they get stacked. Case in point was how when Eric said he didn't want a card, Batman was almost incredulous "I'm just asking an honest question!" and Eric came off like the bad guy by simply not wanting to participate in the nonsense. It's passive aggressive and not cute or funny. Batman is lucky all he did was lose some money to Eric. I think that really set him off more than just the cards. Agree with pretty much everything you said. I like how he tries to give reverse tells by using certain chips and "hem and hawing" as he said but typically that kind of hollywooding would tip off most decent players. Maybe a smart move to use on a more amateurish player though and it worked out for him.
