Ghost of Tsushima takes place in 1274 while Ghost of Yōtei takes place in 1603, making it take place 329 years after the original game. On one hand I’ll miss Jin I really feel like we could’ve seen him face off against the Shōgun, on the other hand I’m excited for a new journey with a new main character.

yeah im pretty disappointed about that. i feel like there was so much more they could've explored with jin, and now we're getting a game completely unrelated to him, without samurai, and with guns. i was so looking forward to a ghost of tsushima 2 being announced this year, and frankly i'll probably get rid of my playstation now because that's all i was waiting for.

Samurai still exist lol you literally see Atsu facing off against one in the trailer. The guns will more than likely be limited as well she isn’t gonna be running around with a Glock. Just relax and wait to see more. Sucker Punch has never released anything but a banger, have faith.

They could have made one more game where, at the end, Jin either dies or retires, I don’t know. There was at least one more game with Jin that could have been made. Now I want to know how he died, who killed him, or if he died by someone's hand, or if he lived a quiet life.

Xbox version isn’t laggy that was only on release. After a couple months went by they released an update that fixed a lot of performance issues and bugs and most recently they have added a bunch more content to the game ie. new places, pals, levels, and items 🤙🏻 glad playsation users can enjoy it now too and add more players so the devs can still develop the game and keep going

Yeah you pronounced Yōtei correctly. Japanese is pretty hard to fuck up pronunciation wise. Every letter will always be pronounced the same regardless, excluding different dialects and regions of course but that doesnt matter in the slightest. Unlike in English where certain letters can be pronounced 5 different ways depending what letter theyre next to including silent letters. Makes learning the language a lot easier believe me

Jev I 100% agree on the Dragon Age take. I played Origins for the first time this year and it was incredible. I played 2 after but I never finished it because in the act 3 of the game I got hard locked. Anytime I would try to go to another area it would kick me to the main menu. Would've liked to finish it but I really don't wanna play another 13 hours and risk the same thing happening

genuinely don't understand what more people could want from jin in a ghost sequel. seeing so many comments saying "he could face off against the shogun", when that directly contradicts what jin stands for and his writing throughout the entire game. jin is all about his people, and his homeland of tsushima and japan as a whole. there's no world where he would go against the shogun, and definitely no world where he'd fight the samurai. people forget everything about how his story wrapped up and his character as a whole just because they want something they think is cool, trivializing the whole first game

Dragon Age Inquisition had a tactical mode that allowed you to play the game turn based. Not sure about Veilguard but the Devs absolutely learnt the lessons from DA2

Watching jev react to these games makes me realize how much people don't play enough games. I only heard how the showcase was terrible and that GOT2 was the only good thing. But watching this seeing Jev just go "ooh this new game looks cool and unique" and appreciate new content made me realize people are just looking for games they know with big names, and aren't excited for anything brand new they haven't tried

Can't wait to play GOT2/GOY (lol). The first game is what got me to buy a PS5 to begin with and It was worth it. I might go and do another playthrough right before I play the sequel. I'm gonna miss Jin Sakai but on to the next glory gory game. I get that some people are mad at Ghost of Yotei for featuring another mc other than Jin... but you have to understand that Jin going out of his way to fight the shogun or wtv (what everyones mainly saying) is just so random. Jin's story was pretty much fleshed out, he never really had any encounters with the mainland Japan since he remained on Tsushima his entire life. A lot of the community wanted to fight against the Shogunate and Jin just wasnt the answer, however a 'Ronin' (Lawless) who is also a 'female' (Females weren't strongly displayed as warriors at the time) has all the reason to fight the shogunate (Likely for some traumatic backstory). I'll miss Jin too and Im still hoping it isnt the end for his character, but Ive come to an understanding that its a new era with new problems, and it'll be pretty cool to see the new gameplay and story that'll go down.

All the complaints Jev had about dragon age are the exact same thoughts i have about the new game. i personally enjoyed dragon age 2 and inquisition at the hardest difficulties keeping the combat and game entertaining for me but now it is very much just a action game. Origins was also one of my favorites, i think i got it for free when i was younger and it really got me into the dragon age franchise. I was really looking foward to this years dragon age after inquisition but it definitely doesnt feel like dragon age anymore. It’s a shame I wanted to see how they expanded on the tactics system they already had in the game now the gameplay just looks like extremely dumbed down.

The devs said it in a press release, but basically Ghost Of will become a series of spin-offs all based around the "Ghost of" Universe but with different and independent stories. Like Assassin's Creed. I don't know what to think about it but we'll see.

The spike in hardware costs drove the trend for upscaling. Consoles already lose money. If we want truly native 4k at 60 to 120fps on console we'd be looking at a $1000 price tag. Thankfully the upscaling on console tends to be excellent and well designed, but we wont see native until at least the ps6. I cant wait to see reports on how much the ps5 pro actually costs to build vs sales.

Native 4K is just to demanding jev :/ if it wasn’t for upscaling we wouldn’t have the great fidelity games like Cyberpunk , Black Myth Wukong with full raytracing/path Ray tracing etc. games to look that good need an upscale of some sort cause I’m assuming running that natively with a gpu that’s capable would just use so much power. And plus having an upscaler for PS5 pro will be good so that some developers can make games like Black myth wukong, cyberpunk, etc with high visual fidelity graphics and higher frame rates for console gamers to appreciate

Half of the problem is a lot of these modern games just load in a bunch of shit that looks only a little bit better than graphics in games we had 8 years ago and instead of optimizing the way things are rendered and loaded so that the game runs well natively while still looking amazing, they just use upscaling which sucks ass since the games barely run well with or without it even at 1440p, much less 4k
