Thanks for your video. I have a 2011 Ranger 500 and it recently began to backfire only when I let off the gas pedal after going medium speed for a few minutes. Any ideas on what be causing this?

Finally found the problem by watching your video. I ordered the grommet. Do you have a video on cleaning the injector? To my knowledge it’s never been removed and cleaned.

Mine runs well while moving, but once it idles it dies. I will try all you mentioned. Fuel pump does work, I pulled it off and gas discharged.

My 2011 ranger is running sluggish and used to go 40mph now only getting to 34mph. Slower going up hills , I am thinking throttle body area? I added a snorkel but that is all I’ve done

Can you give advice on a 2005 700xp model? It cranks over a couple of times, fires once but will not start. Have replaced the fuel pump but that is not fixing the issue. Spark plugs and fuel injectors are new. Enjoy your videos... thanks for your help!

I saw another video on YT where the guy had a bad ground for the ECM on a unit that caused the same issue.

Agent Orange is certainly on to something. It sounds CDI related. Possibly stator related. It’s hard to diagnose something like this via computer. Thanks for watching and the comment. There’s a vacuum line going from the air control assembly before the throttle body to what looks like a solenoid under the battery tray area and a line come out from there but I can’t find where that line hooks up. Can y’all help me find where it goes?

Does anyone know why my 2012 polaris ranger 400 looses all throttle after about 2k revs it dies and goes down to idle even when foot is still on accelerator.

You should run it before and after so we can see for ourselves the impact of the fix.

i have a 2002 400 ranger not injected its carburatored put a new came in it started up ran like a bear crazy fast next day will not start messed with the carb changed plug fired up ran like a bear next day will not start it tryed to but will not starts then after a wail it will not try to start.... 5 hr's later it all most want to start again but no go this is the worst machine i have ever owned trying to get rid of it

If it starts with starting fluid, you have a carb issue-stuck float, plugged jet, etc. Carb rebuild might be required. Make sure your wiring harnesses have not rubbed through somewhere. It's common on these things no matter what size.

No carburetor. It's fuel injected.
