One has to admire your fluency with the Grid objects and their Function. 👍

So good! Tiny nit-pick: If you use the signal itself instead of the follower output for your threshold cirquit, you should ideally take the absolute value to make sure that larger negative values also surpass the threshold. For most signals, this doesn't matter that much, but e.g. some voices have got fairly asymmetric wave shapes.

This is a life saver thanks. Works even better than commercial plugins.

Thanks again for sharing :) While playing around I have an addition to suggest: Switch the 'hard' clip on the 'audio out I/O' to OFF (or soft) to avoid unwanted distortion (this was the case for me, there are some peaks running into the limiter)
@Xstatic1975 Жыл бұрын
I discovered I have this distortion too but with each setting Off, Hard of Soft. And only when the preset is loaded (from library or when whole project is loaded). After feeding audio through it's gone. What settings do you use on the rise, fall and constant ?

@polarity i like your tutorials a lot! From time to time i wonder how organic,warm, deep and present the bitwig devices in your tutorials are sounds. A tutorial with tips and tricks how the internal plugins sounds more with life and warmth I would be glad 🙂

Wow I've been looking for something like this that does the same as Waves vocal rider. I plan to combine this with your multiband loudness technique to always have perfect levels on a mix.

Really glad I stumbled across this video because I've been struggling to find a gain staging plug-in to run through Bitwig. If you were to place this patch in a theoretical chain for mastering, would you think it would be better placed before or after a peak limiter? Thank you again for putting this video out there.

Hi Polarity thank you for another informative video. I would like too know if you can use this at the end of each individual channel as opposed to inputting manually.

yes you can, but remember, its constantly measuring and changing the volume

I tried to makes a homemade ' waves Bass Rider ' but It didn't work If there was a way to smooth It out or tresh hold kind of what Peak status to pick up

What is the difference between this and your reference level preset you made a few years back?
@PolarityMusic Жыл бұрын
This has a fixed ref value (0db) and it uses less modules (less cpu). The older one features a dynamic ref value :)

Will the auto level overide volume automation?

no. its an audio fx. it doesnt alter automation

@@PolarityMusic So if I put the volume level on 0...the auto level won't bring the level back up to zero.... Thank you for the reply and the amazing ideas.
